Triple Crown Racing

Bet on the Triple Crown at

The Triple Crown is made up of three races: the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes and Belmont Stakes which run in that order. Winning the Triple Crown is one of the most difficult versions of a grand slam in all of sports, as these colts only get one shot at it since all horses have to be no older or younger than three years old to participate in the Triple Crown.

That’s why no horse has swept the Triple Crown since Affirmed in 1978. In fact, only 11 horses have been able to win the Triple Crown in over a century and none have done so for nearly four decades. This in itself should scream volumes about how difficult the Triple Crown is.
