Kyle Busch

He came in second at the Daytona 500 last week and has five top-four finishes in his last six starts. Busch won here in 2013 and has five top-seven finishes in his last eight starts in this race. He has also won many times at the Atlanta Motor Speedway in the Xfinity Series and the Gander Outdoor Truck Series, so despite the fact that he’s listed near the top of the moneyline table, he’s definitely worth the wager.

Erik Jones

Jones came in third last week despite offering +2200 on the moneyline at Daytona. He has four top-four finishes in his last eight races but continues to appear fairly far down the odds list. He does not have a solid record at the Atlanta Motor Speedway, failing to crack the top ten in either of his last two starts, but the value that he offers is still compelling given his record overall in recent races.

Joey Logano

Logano was right there at the end at Daytona a week ago, but he ended up sliding into fourth place. He still has six top-five finishes in his last eight races and 12 top-ten finishes in his last 15 overall. He has four top-six finishes at Atlanta Motor Speedway in his last six races here. That combination of strong recent form and a solid history at this track make him a worthwhile bet despite the lack of value.

Jimmie Johnson

He kept appearing in our previews last year, despite the fact that he didn’t win at all. It is true that he has not won in well over a year, but he did crack the top 10 at Daytona and also has four top-ten finishes in his last ten starts overall, which is an improvement over the form that he showed for much of 2018. He has four wins at this event and has five top-four finishes in his last nine races at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. He’s certainly a dark horse now, but could he actually bring in some money this time?

Kevin Harvick

He didn’t do well at Daytona, but he has not even made the top 20 in the last three years, and that hasn’t kept him from dominating at other points in the season. He did win the Folds of Honor QuikTrip a year ago and has 11 top-ten finishes in his last 14 races at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. So his status as the defending champion, his 2018 form and his consistency on this track makes him a must-bet, despite the fact that he offers low value as the overall favorite.
