While many of the top golfers in the world are at the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play in Austin, Texas, this weekend, the PGA Tour also heads down to the Dominican Republic, for the Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship, a course that runs more than 7,600 yards and features two holes on the back nine that each run more than 620 yards. The last three holes, called the “Devil’s Elbow,” is called one of the most scenic finishes on the whole tour. This event began on the Web.com Tour but enters its second year as a PGA event. Brice Garnett is the defending champion from 2018, and he returns to play. One of the biggest names in the tournament, by the way, is CBS football analyst and former NFL quarterback Tony Romo. We have your golf odds as well as sports betting suggestions for you to consider.

Sung-Jae Im

He is 17th in the FedExCup standings heading into this weekend, making him the top-ranked PGA Tour player in the tournament. In 2018, Im finished as the Web.com Tour Player of the Year, and he has two top-five finishes in his last two starts, including a tie for fourth place at the Valspar Championship.

Jhonattan Vegas

Vegas has three PGA Tour victories to his credit. He is looking for FedExCup points to bolster his candidacy for a spot on the Presidents Cup. He has made three cuts in a row and tied for third at THE PLAYERS Championship.

Corey Conners

Conners was playing in the final group on Sunday here in 2018, but he fell apart with a 76 in the final round, and he ended up in a tie for 13th. He earned spots in the Arnold Palmer Invitational and THE PLAYERS Championship, where he finished in a tie for 41st.

Joel Dahmen

He ran out to a lead after the opening round at the 2019 Valspar Championship but then saw things fall apart in the weekend. The good news is that he is making cuts regularly — the bad news is that he needs to figure out how to finish more effectively. In a diluted field like this one, he could emerge with the trophy.

Denny McCarthy

McCarthy cracked the top 10 at the Valspar Championship. In a game that rewards people who can handle their wedges and short irons and sink challenging putts, like this course does, McCarthy could shine.

Charl Schwartzel

He keeps playing in opposite-field events so that he can preserve his top-100 ranking on the Tour. He did it in Puerto Rico and played quite well at the PGA National. Now he’s in the opposite-field event again this week. He’s one of the better golfers here, and he could sneak to a victory.

Nate Lashley

Lashley has only missed one cut in 2019 — at Bay Hill. He tied for eighth in Puerto Rico, and he is one of the stronger players here, despite the high value that you can get for wagering on him.
