AdventHealth 400 Odds and Betting Picks for NASCAR Cup Series

NASCAR is in the American heartland today as Kansas Speedway is set to host a weekend of racing action. The Cup Series event, the AdventHealth 400, is set for Sunday, May 5, starting at 3:00 pm Eastern time. FS1 will have the telecast, or you can listen on Motor Racing Network or SiriusXM. Last week, Denny Hamlin made good on +750 odds to win the Wurth 400 in Dover, Delaware. He survived a challenge from Kyle Larson down the stretch to get the win. William Byron, Christopher Bell, Bubbal Wallace and several other drivers got caught up in wreckage during Stage 3, and their races ended with 72 laps to go. Hamlin swiped the lead on the next-to-last restart, and Larson couldn’t get closer than a few car lengths down the stretch. Check out the NASCAR betting odds for each driver this week in Kansas as well as our wager card suggestions.

Bet on the NASCAR Lines for AdventHealth 400

Denny Hamlin

Hamlin is part of the best team in the Cup Series last week. He’s coming in off that win at Dover and almost won at Texas Motor Speedway on an intermediate track. In both of the 2023 races at Kansas Speedway, he was the leader in fantasy driver ratings.

Kyle Larson

Larson has four top-five fantasy ratings in his last five starts at Kansas. He had the most fantasy points here in both 2021 races and in the fall race last year. In the spring race last year, he came in second.

Tyler Reddick

Reddick will benefit from the fact that 23XI Racing understands the Kansas setup. Reddick and teammates Kurt Busch and Bubba Wallace have all picked up wins here using the NextGen car.

Chase Elliott

Elliott was immune from the impact that dirty air had on passing at Dover. He was able to zip through the field and finish in the top five. His No. 9 Hendrick Chevy has outstanding speed.

William Byron

Byron saw his hot streak end 72 laps early at Dover, but that’s just something that happens in this sport. He’s still going to be right at the front near the end this week.

Martin Truex Jr

Truex Jr only made it four laps into the fall 2023 race at Kansas Speedway before crashing out. Before that disappointment, though, he had cracked the top ten in fantasy driver rating in six straight races on this track, and he was the second-highest rated driver here last spring.

Bubba Wallace

Wallace got his first full-length Cup Series win here in the fall of 2022. He put 23XI Racing on the map with that win.

Ryan Blaney

Blaney got 22 hog points (given for laps led and fast laps) at Dover last week. He will have a hard time beating Hendrick and Joe Gibbs Racing here, but if you wager top-five finishers as a prop, he’s a smart pick.

Ross Chastain

Chastain finished 2023 very well. However, 2024 hasn’t been all that great for him. I’m not betting on him until he shows he can finish better than he has so far.

Christopher Bell

Bell looked like a Cup Series title contender through the end of March. He has a fast JGR Toyota, but he has had bad luck since then. He already has five finishes outside the top 30 this year.

NASCAR Cup Series 2023 AdventHealth 400 Odds

NASCAR will spend this weekend in Kansas City, as the Kansas Speedway will host the races, culminating in the Cup Series AdventHealth 400 on Sunday. The race starts at 3:00 pm Eastern time, and you can watch it on FS1. Those who want to listen can tune into the Motor Racing Network affiliate in their area or the SiriusXM app. Last week, Martin Truex Jr won the Wurth 400, which was pushed to Monday after rain forced postponement of Sunday’s scheduled race. Martin Truex Jr roared to victory after starting 17th, moving into the lead with 69 laps left, leading 68 of those to take his first points-earning win of 2023, ending a winless streak that had run 54 races. It helped that he opted to take just right-side tires in a pit stop during the last caution period. That made the stop quick enough for him to beat the rest of the drivers onto the track and keep Ross Chastain from blowing by him. Who can win at Kansas this week? We have the NASCAR betting odds for the field as well as suggestions for your wagers.

Kyle Larson

had quite a few DNFs in 2022, but he’s getting back to his 2021 form, when he won the championship. This year, in 11 races, he has finished on the lead lap five times and has won two races.

William Byron

came in fourth at Kansas last fall and was the runner-up in the 2021 fall race. In this racing package, he might have the fastest car in the field. Last week, he led the most laps, and Dover was also an intermediate-track package event.

Ross Chastain

has built a list of enemies in the Cup Series. So far, there haven’t been many drivers who have wanted to get back at him. He was involved in another incident at Dover, though, so there may be more people who want to hurt his chances.

Denny Hamlin

has two wins at Kansas in the last seven events, and he has finished in the top ten in all of them.

Martin Truex Jr

was finally able to pull out a win last week, and he could make it back-to-back victories, given how similar Kansas is to Dover.

Christopher Bell

finished in the top five in both Kansas races last year, and he’s getting closer and closer to his first victory on an intermediate track.

Chase Elliott

has six top-five finishes and one victory in the last 11 races at Kansas.

Kyle Busch

has finished in the top three in the last two spring races at Kansas, and he won here in the spring 2021 event.

Tyler Reddick

is in a 23XI Toyota, the same type of car that won both of the Kansas races in 2022, with Kurt Busch taking the spring race and Bubba Wallace taking the fall one. The track has a quick groove up on the wall and progressive banking, both of which matches Reddick’s driving technique.

Joey Logano

has had disappointing results the past few weeks, and he has dropped down the odds list. Remember, though, that he is the defending Cup Series champion, and now that he has value, he might be a smart pick.

Bubba Wallace

won here in the fall, giving him legitimacy in the Cup Series.
