NASCAR Cup Series Odds and Betting Opportunities for NOCO 400

Dirt-track aficionado Christopher Bell won the Food City Dirt Race at Bristol last weekend to move into the points lead in the NASCAR Cup Series, but in the early going it didn’t look like he would dominate the event. Kyle Larson won the first stage wire-to-wire, but he forced Ryan Preece into the outside wall, and Preece got some payback on Lap 175, 20 laps after Larson fell to the back with a spin. At that point, Larson hit Preece’s car and ran into the outside wall before abandoning the race with suspension damage. Bell stayed out on the track after the end of Stage 2, gambling on old tires, and persistence paid off, as he held off Tyler Reddick in the last stage. This week, the NASCAR Cup Series moves to Martinsville Speedway in Virginia for the NOCO 400, set for Sunday at 3:00 pm Eastern time. Read on for the NASCAR betting odds for each driver and our wager card suggestions.

William Byron

and Kyle Larson are the top two drivers in the short-track package this year. Byron had the second-fastest lap times at Phoenix and ended up winning. He had the quickest lap times at Richmond, but after a restart late in the race, he got in a wreck while fighting for the win. Larson won the 2021 Championship 4 at Phoenix. He won two weeks ago at Richmond and was right there at the end at Phoenix before falling short. He also came within a whisker of winning at Martinsville in the fall race last year.

Kevin Harvick

would have taken the victory at Phoenix if there hadn’t been a caution late in the race. At Phoenix, his lap times ranked third, and they ranked sixth at Richmond.

Christopher Bell

has shown that he can dominate races on all tracks. His short-track racing is elite, though, and he won the last Martinsville race.

Denny Hamlin

led the most laps at the last Martinsville race (204), even though he didn’t win. He’s been just behind Larson and Byron so far in 2023, but Martinsville has been a great track for him.

Ross Chastain

almost won in the Truck Series at Martinsville in 2019, finishing just behind Kyle Busch. He was the third-fastest driver at Richmond. He drives a hard, aggressive style that can be abrasive – and effective.

Joey Logano

took a win at Martinsville back in 2018, en route to his shocking Cup Series championship.

Kyle Busch

hasn’t won at Martinsville since the last time that NASCAR brought low-downforce cars. Between 2017 and 2018, those packages brought him a win, two second-place finishes and a fourth-place finish. Can he find that mojo again?

Martin Truex Jr

had the fourth-fastest car at Richmond and is one of the Cup Series’ top short-track racers. His car (the JGR Toyota) is sneaking up on the Hendrick Chevrolets in this new low-downforce package.

Ryan Blaney

has finished in the top 11 in 11 of the last 12 races at Martinsville, including seven finishes in the top five. However, he has never won here. Could that change on Sunday?

Brad Keselowski

averaged a finish of 3.6 in the eight Martinsillve races between 2017 and 2020, never finishing outside the top ten and crashing the top five seven times. He moved on from Penske, but the RFK Fords are starting to pick up, and Keselowski had times in the top ten at both Richmond and Phoenix.
