NASCAR Odds, Analysis and Betting: Xfinity Series ToyotaCare 250

April Fool’s Day will bring in the next installment in the 2023 NASCAR Xfinity Series schedule – the ToyotaCare 250, from Richmond Raceway. The race starts at 1:00 pm Eastern time, with the broadcast on FS1 and the radio call on Motor Racing Network and SiriusXM. Last week, NASCAR was on the Circuit of the Americas, a road course down in Austin, Texas. A.J. Allmendinger won the Xfinity Series event, the Pit Boss 250. That was Allmendinger’s second straight win in that race, as he led the first 14 laps and the last 14 laps. He now has 11 wins on road courses, and 16 overall in the Xfinity Series. This win came even though he dropped back to 25th place because of green-flag pit stops during the race. He ended up beating William Byron by 0.853 seconds. Let’s look at the Xfinity Series betting odds for this week’s race, along with our wager card suggestions.

In the past, Cup Series drivers have dropped down to run in the Xfinity Series event at Richmond Raceway as well, including Brad Keselowski, Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin and Kyle Larson. This week, though, the Cup Series drivers seem focused on the Sunday race, which means that there are only two former champions in the field for Saturday. Cole Custer won here in 2019, and Justin Allgaier won here in 2020.

Austin Hill

currently sits atop the Xfinity Series driver standings, and he looks to bounce back from a tough 37th-place result at Circuit of the Americas. He has won three times in his last six races among five top-five results, so expect him to be right there at the end this time around.

Riley Herbst

offers some value here, especially when you remember that he is second in the Xfinity Series driver standings. In all six races this season, he has cracked the top ten and has cracked the top five twice. He has yet to get within the top three, but the more he stays near the front of the field, the more likely he is to snag a win, sooner than later.

Justin Allgaier

has three podium finishes, three stage victories and four top-five results so far in 2023. He won the first two stages in Phoenix but then fell to 36th in the last stage. Allgaier is another driver who has had hard luck and seems to be due.

Josh Berry

is close to Hill on the odds list, but he is a bit of a sleeper even so. He has five straight top-eight finishes but has not cracked the top three in any of those. His consistent driving has him in ninth in the driver’s standings.
