The 2017-18 NBA regular season is about to begin (October 18), which means that it’s time to start thinking about each team NBA Championship Odds, one of the more popular futures propositions for pro basketball wagers.
We just saw the Golden State Warriors take down the Cleveland Cavaliers in last season’s Finals, and while the Warriors have mostly decided to stand pat with their roster, Cleveland pulled the trigger on a blockbuster trade that basically swapped point guards for the two teams, sending Kyrie Irving to Boston and receiving Isaiah Thomas (and his creaky hip) in return.
Let’s look at some of the updated NBA Championship Odds for each of the 30 NBA franchises to take home the title next June.

NBA – FINALS POSSIBLE MATCHUPS ODDS
Golden State Warriors
NBA Championship Odds: 5-11 Despite the fact that the Western Conference has gotten even more difficult, ESPN predicted that the Warriors would still win 62 games this coming season – 7 ahead of Houston, who they have finished second. Andre Iguodala and David West have gotten a year older, coming off the bench, but that lineup featuring Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and the rest of the gang are going to be hard for anyone to catch.Cleveland Cavaliers
NBA Championship Odds: 4-1 Until someone stops the Cavaliers, they will be the favorites out of the East. It will be interesting to see if the Cavaliers miss the hot shooting of Kyrie Irving. As great a playmaker as Isaiah Thomas, was he a better fit than Kyrie? Or was the lack of chemistry between Kyrie and LeBron going to turn into a team problem?
