Why should you bet on Belmont?

Belmont enters as the favorite on the strength of their offensive prowess on the season. Temple did beat Houston during the AAC conference schedule, one of just two teams to stop the Cougars, but Temple also had some troubling losses, including a rout at the hands of Tulsa.

Temple has pulled off a few big victories this season, none bigger than that aforementioned win over Houston. However, outside the American, they have struggled as of late, covering in just one of their last five non-conference contests. If you like Temple, then you will see them pulling off the win against a Belmont team that can move the ball in a hurry. The Owls could not even beat Ivy League for Penn in the Philadelphia Big 5 competition during nonconference play, and some of the losses they have taken this season — including that AAC tournament loss to Wichita State — should give bettors pause about the Owls in this one.
