In another article, we looked at the odds of each of the 32 teams to win the Super Bowl, set right now for February 2021. In that article, we looked at some of the top contenders to win the title as well, in some more depth. Here we look at the sports betting odds of each team to win their respective conference — and advance to the Super Bowl.

We also look at some of the sleeper teams in each conference as you plan your NFL wagers.

The Buffalo Bills are an exciting team, and they picked up a huge win over Seattle two weeks ago, but then they coughed up a game in Arizona that they should have had. Credit the Cardinals with making an amazing play, but holding contain on the pass rush and having at least one of the three defenders time their jumps better makes that an incompletion. More consistency on defense is what the Bills will need if they want to play in a Super Bowl this year.

The Indianapolis Colts are one of nine teams with a 6-3 or better record in the AFC. If the Colts hadn’t lost their opener to Jacksonville, they would have a relatively commanding 7-2 record. The Colts’ defense is the team’s strength, and since blowing that late lead against the Jaguars, they have stood relatively tough. The team’s running game is also solid, which means the team doesn’t have to lean as heavily on Philip Rivers — which is a good thing. I still don’t like Rivers’ chances if the team makes it to the playoffs, because of his tendency to overthink and make bad mistakes.

The Tennessee Titans have turned a 5-0 start into a 6-3 record. It was good to get locker room toxin Vic Beasley Jr out the door, after he failed to show any commitment to the team, let alone help with the pass rush. Teams seem to have figured out the Titans’ offense, though, which means it’s time for Mike Vrabel to make some adjustments. I don’t have any questions about the Titans’ defense, though — it just needs the offense to keep the ball longer.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers faced pressure on 46 percent of Tom Brady’s dropbacks against the New Orleans Saints, and he could not go through his progressions. The division is there for Tampa Bay now, though, with the injury to Drew Brees. The Bucs rebounded nicely with a big win over the Carolina Panthers. Can they keep the winning going?

The Arizona Cardinals offer a ton of value right now, and they’ve already picked up three wins in the NFC West. If they had managed to beat Detroit, they would be 7-2, but Kyler Murray’s three picks against the Lions are forgivable given how well he has played since that game. The Arizona defense can get after the passer — but they give up way too many big plays in the secondary. If they can tighten that up, they could make a deep run in an NFC without any elite contenders.

The Los Angeles Rams have shown that they can move the ball, as long as they protect Jared Goff. Their defense is strong on all three levels. Their biggest weakness is their kicking game, as they started with Samuel Sloman but waived him seven games in because he was inconsistent. Now they have Kai Forbath, who is 2 for 3 on field goals and 4 for 5 on PATs. They need a lockdown kicker if they want to get points in high-pressure playoff situations.
