Top College Football Week 10 Parlay Picks

Week 10 of the college football season will be featuring a host of mouthwatering matchups and dicey games as teams seek to finish the year strongly for bowl eligibility or simply build momentum for bigger things next season. But first things first, let’s parlay our way into college football betting profits with the three-teamer we’ve comprehensively prepared below.

Top College Football Week 10 Parlay Picks

Wisconsin at Northwestern, Saturday, November 05, 12:00 PM ET

Pick: UNDER 41

At 41 or 42 in most books, this game’s total looks really low and tempting for bettors to bank on an OVER. But on deeper analysis, you will realize that there’s nothing low about the number. For starters, when these two teams met last season, they totaled a paltry 20 points between them in a 13-7 win by Northwestern at the Camp Randall Stadium in Madison. More than that, the Badgers bring a shaky offensive unit that has been struggling mightily in the passing game (ranked #99 in the nation) and play just serviceably in running the ball. But with a #9-ranked total defense and a #3 scoring defense that is allowing just 14 points per game this season, the Badgers haven’t had to put up big numbers to win games; a formula that they are most likely to use again this week. On the opposite side, Clayton Thorson leads a decent passing game to go along with an above-average running game that is spearheaded by Justin Johnson. This unit is definitely capable of causing some headache to Wisconsin like it did to Ohio State last week, though it’s hard to guarantee good production against the Badgers’ stout and disciplined D. Meanwhile, North western’s front seven should also factor into the total, with the #38-ranked NW run defense frustrating the likes of Corey Clement and Dare Ogunbowale in Wisconsin’s running offense. Not to forget, the UNDER has dominated the recent games for both teams, with the total going UNDER going 5-1 in the Badgers’ last 6 games overall and the UNDER also going 9-3 in the Wildcats’ last 12 games overall. Everything considered, an UNDER total should be highly likely in this game.

Texas at Texas Tech, Saturday, November 05, 12:00 PM ET

Pick: OVER 80.5

The Red Raiders have been one of the most consistent OVER total betting teams in the nation, thanks to the strength of their absolute havoc-wrecking offense and the little attention the team pays in defending the ball. On the season, Texas Tech ranks #1 in the nation in yards per game (500.6), #1 in passing touchdowns per game (4.3) and #2 in points per game (47.4). With TTU going against the Longhorns’ leaky defense that ranks #106t in the nation and is giving up 41 PPG on the road this season, QB Patrick Mahomes (3,519 yards and 28 touchdowns against eight interceptions this season) is a near-sure guarantee to lead the Red Raiders to a big offensive performance. On the same vein, Texas has all the offensive tools to make it mark in this game. This should especially be true for Texas No. 1 running back D’Onta Foreman, who’s rushed for at least 100 yards in each of his last nine outings, including a sterling 250-yard, 2-TD performance on 32 carries in last week against Baylor. I mean, if Foreman and his run-reliant teammates were able to play well in the 35-34 win over Baylor, then putting up even better numbers should be possible against TTU that is giving up a whopping 213.75 rushing yards per game (second-worst in the Big 12). And on that account, a big shootout that leads to an OVER total should be a smart pick here.

Alabama (-7) at LSU, Saturday, November 05, 8:00 PM ET

Pick: Alabama (Money Line)

Dating back to last season, the Crimson Tide have won an FBS-best 20 straight wins, including a streak of 12 straight wins over ranked opponents. Facing an LSU team that has won three straight games under interim head coach Ed Orgeron will undoubtedly test the Tide to the very extreme. Even so, Alabama lives for such big games and is coming off a bye week should mean extra-rest and extra-preparation by FBS’ best coach, Nick Saban. Not to forget, the Tide have been playing really well on both sides of the line of scrimmage, unlike Clemson who’ve been rather inconsistent in offense and are only starting to get their things in order. So, while I am bit concerned about taking the points, I am certain that Saban and Alabama will find a way of making the eventual killing at the Death Valley to pay bettors on the moneyline.
