Top NHL Betting Games of the Week (Dec 12 – 18)

Written by on December 12, 2016

The National Hockey League will be at the midway point before you know it. The season on ice is flying by. The big game coming up is the Winter Classic, which takes place this season in St. Louis, as the Blues and Blackhawks get together. Before that, there are three weeks left before that. Vegas has not handicapped the entire week yet, but let’s go ahead and take a look at some of the Top NHL Betting Games of the Week.

Top NHL Betting Games of the Week (Dec 12 – 18)

Montreal Canadiens -145 over Boston Bruins

Montreal has scored 10 goals in a game, and allowed 10 goals in a game this season. That’s quite interesting, and if you think about it – pretty impressive. The Canadiens though, have been pretty impressive. Montreal is 19-6- 3, which means the most points in the league, with 41. They will take on a Boston team that is fighting in the Eastern Conference as well. The Bruins are 15-12- 2 for third in the Atlantic Division. This is the best game on Monday, and we like Montreal to win this game behind goaltender Carey Price at home.

New York Rangers w/ Chicago Blackhawks

Two of the best teams in all of the National Hockey League will get together at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday. The New York Rangers are 19-9- 1, and tied in second in the Eastern Conference will host the Chicago Blackhawks, who have the most points in the Western Conference. The Blackhawks are just 2 points ahead of the St. Louis Blues in the Central Division. Chicago is without their top goaltender Corey Crawford, which should give the Rangers a little advantage in this game. This should be a great game Tuesday, and we like New York over Chicago.

Tampa Bay Lightning at Calgary Flames

On Wednesday, the Lightning are taking a long road trip to Calgary to battle the Flames. The Lightning need to get back on track a little bit, as they have fallen to 14-13- 2 on the season. On the other side, Calgary continues to impressive, as they have moved to 1st place in the Pacific Division. The Flames are 16-13- 2 on the season. Ben Bishop should be in net for the Lightning, and he has struggled as of late. But, look for Calgary to be a good place for Bishop to get back on track. This should be a road win for Tampa Bay over Calgary.

Arizona Coyotes at Toronto Maple Leafs

On Thursday, two of the worst teams in the National Hockey League will mix it up in Toronto. The Arizona Coyotes will send Mike Smith between the pipes, with his 5-3- 4 record on the season. He will face off against Frederik Andersen of Toronto. The Maple Leafs are very young, but this is a team they can beat. Arizona is not very good, and that shows they are 9-13- 5 on the season. Look for the home team, Toronto Maple Leafs to win this game over Arizona.

Los Angeles Kings at Pittsburgh Steelers

Finally, the Friday game in the National Hockey League will feature a Western Conference team on the road at the Eastern Conference Pittsburgh Steelers. The Los Angeles Kings are 14-11- 2, and 5th in the Pacific, and they will battle the Penguins, who lead the Metropolitan Conference with an 18-7- 3 record. Matt Murray is 10-2 as the starting goaltender for the Penguins, and he looks to be in great position to win this game. There it is! Those are our Top NHL Betting Games of the Week! Enjoy!
