Divisional Playoff NFL Betting Odds Analysis

Written by on January 6, 2015

The Divisional Playoff games in the are almost upon us, which means we all have to start thinking about how we are going to bet each of the 4 games and what NFL betting odds offer the best value. I will deliver my picks against the spread a little later in the week, but for now, let’s take a look at all 4 games and pick who the sure winners (is there really such a thing?) winners will be. For me, Saturday looks like a pretty straightforward betting day. There may not be much value in the single bets here, but you might get a little value by placing a parlay bet on the two winners. The surest bet of the weekend comes in the early Saturday game, which sees the reigning champion Seattle Seahawks welcome in the Carolina Panthers. It’s been a fun month or so for the Panthers, but I think their weekend is about to be totally ruined. The Seahawks are red hot right now, and trying to win in their crib is a nightmare.

Top Odds – SEATTLE -10.5

The Ravens did well to beat the Steelers in Pittsburgh, but a trip to New England is a whole different little of fish. Outside of Brady and Gronkowski, the Pats may not have any major names on offense, but this is a team that is superbly coached, and who does things by committee. You simply can’t deny the experience that Brady brings to the table in these big games, and I think he will pick apart that Ravens D. New England Patriots

Top Odds – NEW ENGLAND -7

The Sunday match-ups are fantastic, and it all begins with the Dallas Cowboys heading into Lambeau Field to face the Green Bay Packers. Expect it to be cold and miserable, which is exactly the way the Packers will want it to be. Rain, snow, or shine, Green Bay has been lights out at home this season, and while this is one of the toughest challenges they will have faced this season, there is no reason to believe they can’t continue their home dominance.

Top Odds – GREEN BAY -6

The last match-up of the weekend is perhaps the most intriguing, as it pits the up and coming QB of the future against the man he replaced. Andrew Luck has been a one man wrecking crew this season, while questions have been asked about the performances put in by Peyton Manning. There is a lot to love about this game, and I am really on the fence. Top Odds- ? (Need to do a little more thinking…so please check back later)
