Formula 1 Betting Odds & Analysis of the Las Vegas Grand Prix

The penultimate race in the 2023 Formula 1 season comes from Las Vegas, running on Saturday night. The track action starts on Thursday evening, as Free Practices 1 and 2 will take place – and the second session starts at midnight. Qualifying starts at midnight local time on Friday. The race itself is set for 10:00 pm local time on Saturday night. Formula 1 last ran in Las Vegas in 1982, when the parking lot at Caesars Palace featured the track. This is also the third Grand Prix in the United States, with Miami and Austin already having hosted races. Max Verstappen maintained his control over the field again last week, winning the Brazilian Grand Prix. Las Vegas promises to have cold weather for this weekend’s race, which could make conditions interesting. We have the F1 betting odds for each driver below as well as thoughts on your best picks in the Formula 1 Las Vegas.

Bet on the F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix!

Carlos Sainz offers a ton of value here racing with Ferrari. Las Vegas features a new street course instead of offering the same GP course from prior years, as is the case in many of the race locales. Sainz drives a Ferrari that has straightline speed that will warm up his tires sooner than many of his competitors, and he has shown masterful racing skills throughout his career.

Lando Norris drives for McLaren, and their cars tend to struggle in corners where they have to lower their speed. His opening odds were +900, and the value has just increased since then. McLaren has put together some solid races lately, and the circumstances around this race make this an interesting pick.

As far as some prop picks go, Sergio Perez offers a +250 moneyline to finish in the top three. He won two of the first five races in 2023, but since then he has largely underperformed. On the same team as Max Verstappen, he has been forced largely into a support role, but he has also failed to take the steps to dominate races himself. In Brazil, though, he showed that he might be back to his old form. He finished fourth, getting edged off the podium by Fernando Alonso, but he did make a number of impressive passes to get in position to compete for the top three.

Another interesting prop has to do with the winning margin. Verstappen has beaten the rest of the field by more than 10 seconds multiple times in 2023, but you can get a winning margin between five and ten seconds for +330. This is a new course, and Verstappen has already said that the simulator has given him problems. If you consider Lando Norris’ recent breakthrough, with five podiums in the last six Grands Prix, this is an interesting wager.

Looking down the teams list, what about Aston Martin to finish in the top ten? You can get a +135 moneyline on that. Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll finished third and fifth in Brazil last week, their best result in seven races. The layout this week is different, but both drivers had solid pace and promise to do so again in Vegas.
