Looking to Bet on the Bommarito Automotive Group 500? Our Expert Analyze the Odds

The Bommarito Automotive Group 500 has been part of the IndyCar Series since 2017, held at Worldwide Technology Raceway in southern Illinois.

The race consists of 250 trips around a 2.01km oval, making the race right around 500 km.

Each corner has unique shape and banking; Turns 1 and 2 resemble turns at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, while Turns 3 & 4 call to mind Phoenix Raceway.

The egg-shaped track looks much like the oval in place at Twin Rig Motegi. The race is set for Saturday at 6:00pm Eastern time. You can catch the telecast on USA Network or stream it on Peacock.

Let’s look at the sports betting odds for each driver to win, as well as some other insights about the race.

Àlex Palou

Palou is the favorite, despite entering with a nine-place grid penalty thanks to an unapproved engine change. He leads the driver standings by 49 points, but this week, he will need to get out on the track quickly.

Unfortunately, this is a track where he has struggled historically. He has finished in the top ten here twice, but he’s still looking for a win on an oval.

He almost won Race 2 at Iowa, but then Will Power came out of nowhere to take the victory.

IndyCar Betting Josef Newgarden

Newgarden didn’t do well at Iowa, but that wasn’t a competitive race. He did make the podium for Race 1 before finishing seventh the next day.

The 2024 campaign has been difficult for him overall, though. There have been six different races where he had already wrecked out before the end, and he also got disqualified in St. Petersburg.

Could he bounce back this week?

IndyCar Betting Conor Daly

Daly is back for the rest of 2024 in the No. 78 after Agustin Canapino decided to walk away from Juncos Hollinger Racing.

He has four top-ten finishes at this track, including fifth place in 2017. The only place he has more top-tens is Indianapolis.

IndyCar Betting Colton Herta

Herta won the last IndyCar race in Toronto. There aren’t that many long winning streaks in IndyCar, but he can start to make his streak two with a win this weekend.

Alexander Rossi is back from the disabled list; he had injured his thumb in a crash leading up to the Toronto race, sending him to surgery.

The Olympic break allowed Herta to recover while missing a minimal number of races.
