NASCAR heads to Delaware for this weekend’s races, with the Cup Series running from Dover Motor Speedway, as the DuraMAX Drydene 400 is on tap for Sunday. The race begins at 3:00 pm Eastern with the broadcast on FS1 and Motor Racing Network. Ross Chastain was the big winner last week at the GEICO 500, paying off on +1600 odds. Chastain only led one lap, but it was the last one, as he found himself in third behind Erik Jones and Kyle Larson going into the last lap. Larson zipped out of line and was ready to pas Jones, but Jones moved over to block his momentum. Meanwhile, Chastain stayed below them at a steady pace, taking advantage of the battle between the two cars to steam ahead. This was Chastain’s second win of his career in the Cup Series – and his second in five weeks, as he won his first title in Austin on March 27. Austin Dillon took second, and Kyle Busch settled for third. Read on to get the NASCAR betting odds for Sunday’s race, along with wager card suggestions.

Kyle Larson is the favorite for a reason, now that the real NASCAR Cup Series is ready to begin. The first part of the schedule has included a series of gimmick races, but now we will see more consistent winning by the top drivers in the top cars. Larson has the fastest car, and no driver is better than he is right now. In 2021, he won 11 races, and now he looks to stack up the wins again.
William Byron came in fourth in each of the last two races at Dover, and Byron has had a solid Cup Series season so far.
Alex Bowman was the slowest car on the Hendrick team through the first half of the Dover race last year, but then he moved into the lead on pit road and pushed to the win. In his last five races at Dover, Bowman has four top-five finishes.
Chase Elliott leads the NASCAR Cup Series standings even though he has yet to pick up a victory in 2022. He is due, and he was right there at the end at Dover last year.
Joey Logano ranks third in the Cup Series in Real Rating, a metric that synthesizes a driver’s racing form. Logano has been solid under the radar this season, and he could easily creep away from Dover with a trophy.
Ryan Blaney has not fared well at Dover, but he has driven very well every week this year, even though the tracks have been so different. Coming back to a basic setup should be easy for his new crew chief.
Martin Truex Jr has eight top-ten finishes in his last 10 at Dover. He had damage in 2021, but in the four races before that, his finishes were 2nd, 2nd, 2nd and 1st. So he’s definitely someone to put on the card.
Ross Chastain will have a tough time here because it’s hard to pass at Dover, and its’ hard to pass in the Next Gen vehicle, which means things can come down to the pits, and Chastain’s pit crew is elite.
