NASCAR 2022 Ruoff Mortgage 500 Betting Odds & Favorites

NASCAR moves to Phoenix Raceway this Sunday, as the Ruoff Mortgage 500 will get underway at 3:30 pm Eastern time, with the broadcast on FOX. In last week’s Pennzoil 400, at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Alex Bowman held off Kyle Larson at the end, as Larson was looking to win his second race in as many weeks. The race featured a dozen caution flags, as several cars caromed off the wall and slid around the track, and late spins by Bubba Wallace and Erik Jones pushed things to overtime. So now we have three winners in three races, so let’s take a look at the NASCAR Odds for Sunday, along with some suggestions for your wager cards.

Ryan Blaney has won multiple stages at Phoenix Raceway, and he has led a ton of laps, but he has never yet picked up a victory. The new car he’s driving this year is a major improvement, so he might be able to get that monkey off his back.

Austin Cindric offers some value despite the fact that he won the Daytona 500. He’s also driving in a powerful new car, and he has raced extremely well at Phoenix Raceway in the past, winning two of his last three starts there as part of the NASCAR Xfinity Series. HIs road racing skills will pay dividends on the flat turns at Phoenix, and he has plenty of confidence right now.

William Byron won at Phoenix Raceway in 2017 in the Xfinity Series and has started eight races here in the Cup Series. In 2021, he came in eighth in this race, and in those eight races, he has averaged a 13th-place finish.

Christopher Bell won at Phoenix Raceway in 2018 in the Xfinity Series, and in the Cup Series, he raced well in both visits to the desert, coming in ninth each time.

Alex Bowman picked up the big win last week, but he is looking for his first top-ten finish ever at Phoenix Raceway as a part of Hendrick. In 2016, he grabbed the pole in a fill-in role for DAle Earnhardt Jr before leading 194 laps and finishing sixth.

Kurt Busch has started 38 races at Phoenix Raceway and has led 818 laps. He won the spring race here back in 2005, in the spring race, but a DUI in the area kept him out of the fall race.

Ross Chastain came in 14th at Phoenix Raceway last fall – his best finish at this track. He came in third in Las Vegas, leading 83 laps – a race high.
