Betting NASCAR Enjoy Illinois 300 Odds, Picks, Analysis

The NASCAR Cup Series is in Madison, Illinois, this weekend ahead of the Enjoy Illinois 300 set for Sunday at 3:30 pm Eastern time. World Wide Technology Raceway will host this week’s race, which you can watch on FS1 or listen to on the Motor Racing Network or the SiriusXM app. Last week, Christopher Bell took the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The race ended up just going 249 of the 400 scheduled laps after a lightning delay was followed by a heavy rainstorm. Bell led 90 laps and won the second stage; his most impressive moment came when he held off Brad Keselowski over a 10-lap run following a caution that came from Corey LaJoie’s spin in the second turn on Lap 229. The restart came in Lap 236, and Bell and Keselowski lined up next to one another. Bell pulled ahead by about six car-lengths before the seventh caution came for lightning in the area. This gives Bell his second win of 2024, his first at the Charlotte oval, and this eighth win overall. Check out the NASCAR betting odds for the Enjoy Illinois 300 as well as some of our wager card suggestions.

Kyle Busch

Busch won here last year and came in second here in 2022. This is just the third race at World Wide Technology Raceway, and given the value that Busch offers, he’s a must-pick this week.

Ryan Blaney

Blaney is an elite driver on short, flat tracks. He has stacked up fantasy points in both of the previous races here. Even though World Wide Technology Raceway is an intermediate track, the flat banks make it race like a short one.

Denny Hamlin

Hamlin has the best pit crew in the Cup Series. It’s hard to pass on the track here, but it is not hard to pass on pit road because your crew is so much better than the rest.

Kyle Larson

Larson finished in the top five here last year despite not having a particularly speedy car.

Martin Truex Jr

Truex Jr has a fifth-place and a sixth-place finish here in his career. The JGR Toyotas have done well at World Wide Technology Raceway, and Truex will be driving one on Sunday.

Joey Logano

Logano won this race in 2022 and came in third a year ago; Team Penske has put together strong finishes here as a whole in the short history of the track.

Christopher Bell

Bell has been driving fast all year but has been dealt some bad luck. It seems like that luck has taken a turn for the better after the rain-shortened race a week ago. Can that hot streak keep going?

William Byron

Byron had 92 laps in the top five here last year. Only three other drivers had more. The only ceiling on Byron right now might be his car.

Ross Chastain

Chastain won the 2019 Truck Series event at World Wide Technology Raceway; it’s a track that the trucks have raced on for several years now. That experience could help push him to the front.

Brad Keselowski

Keselowski has taken advantage of the fact that the RFK Fords showed more speed at the Coca-Cola 600. This race is more of a strategy event, and Keselowski’s team is better than most at figuring things out.

Tyler Reddick

Reddick is usually in the top five at intermediate tracks, so expect to see him pushing hard again.

2023 Enjoy Illinois 300

Gateway Motorsports Park in Madison, Illinois, is the backdrop for this weekend’s NASCAR racing. The 1.25-mile track resembles that of Darlington Raceway, with the first two turns featuring a tighter radius and higher banking than the third and fourth. The Cup Series event is the Enjoy Illinois 300 Presented by TicketSmarter, set for Sunday at 3:30 PM Eastern time. Below you can find the NASCAR betting odds for the entire field as well as some of our picks. Last week, Ryan Blaney broke a 59-race winless streak after the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway was pushed to Monday due to rain. Blaney led 163 of 400 laps, the most of any driver in the race and the most he’s led in any race in his career. The last time Blaney won was in the fall Daytona race in 2021. A series of cautions near the end of the race ended with Blaney in front with 20 laps to go. He ended up holding off William Byron, who had earned the pole, by 0.663 seconds. That puts Blaney second in the NASCAR Cup Series standings. What will happen this week? Read on to get our insights.

Ryan Blaney

comes with some added value this week, not just because of his 59 races without a win but also because of his win last week. It’s rare to see drivers win back-to-back, because the competition is elite, and the tracks can be quite different from one race to the next. Gateway has some differences from Charlotte, but Blaney has done well in both places. This wekk will once again feature the intermediate track package, and Blaney posted the fastest average lap time at Dover in this package. Charlotte has a similar setup to Dover, and Blaney won there. The package remains the same this week, while the setup is different, which shouldn’t bother this team because of their solid results here a year ago. Blaney’s teammate Joey Logano won the race last year, and Austin Cindric posted the sixth-best overall driver rating.

Kyle Larson

runs with a Hendrick team that does not have a lot of experience at Gateway. Larson ran for the first time here in 2022 when the Cup Series came back. It’s likely that he will struggle once again when it comes to picking the track up. Even so, Hendrick cars have shown plenty of speed this season, so by the end of this race, Larson may well have figured things out.

Martin Truex Jr

has experience on this track, but it dates back to 2004 and 2005, when he raced here in the Xfinity Series. He won here in 2004 with Chance 2 Motorsports. In 2022 in teh Cup Series, he came in sixth after leading 42 laps, a solid day for him during a season that he probably wishes he could have had back. He won at the L.A. Coliseum in the preseason exhibition and also won at Dover, a track that should set him up nicely this weekend.

Kyle Busch

led 66 laps here in the 2022 race, but Joey Logano blew by him after the restart in overtime. Busch likes to drop down and race in the lower series, which gives him more track experience. He won the last Xfinity Series event at Gateway, back in 2009, leading 90 laps. His car has not been great for the last four weeks, but some of that was luck, as a tire issue doomed him in Dover, and the restart at Kansas saw him get wrecked. He’s due another win – and soon.
