Kyle Larson’s hot 2021 continued last week in the NASCAR Cup Series, as he won the Bass Pro Shops Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday. Larson got some help from Chase Elliott, who took Kevin Harvick’s line and slowed him down. That allowed Larson to get the winning pass with three laps to go and win his sixth race of the year. This was the last race of the Round of 16, and Aric Almirola, Tyler Reddick, Kurt Busch and Michael McDowell were all knocked out of championship eligibility, with William Byron snatching the last slot in the Round of 12. Let’s take a look at the online NASCAR betting odds for each driver at the South Point 400, set for Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sunday.
The race begins at 7:00 pm Eastern time, and you can catch the broadcast on NBC Sports.

Kyle Larson is the favorite here not just because of his six wins overall — but because of his particular dominance at 1 ½-mile tracks. Unless there is a restart mess at the end of the race, Larson should be right there at the end. The last time Larson lost on this type of track, it was a series of messy restarts in Kansas that served as the culprit.
Denny Hamlin was headed to victory at the fall race at Las Vegas in 2020, but a caution that came at just the wrong time for him foiled his victory chances. Hamlin was the runner-up here in the spring race; he had the chance to catch and pass Larson, but Larson’s car was just better.
Kyle Busch won the race at Kansas that features a similar track to this one, but he may have a mental block in Vegas. He thinks he should win every time on his hometown track, but Larson has the hottest car right now.
Chase Elliott and the other Hendrick Motorsports drivers were fast in the spring race in Las Vegas. He started out well here, but an early pit stop caused him some damage. Later in the race he spun out and brought a caution. He could end up with a more favorable result this week — as he showed last season, he tends to peak in the biggest playoff races.
Brad Keselowski has had a forgettable 2021. However, he almost came out of nowhere to win the championship in 2020. In the spring race in Las Vegas, he almost won as well. So he’s worth considering, especially given the value.
William Byron had some hard luck at the spring race in Las Vegas, as he had a greasy pit stall that kept him from gaining track position on pit road. He had just won the previous race at Homestead but lost momentum. Could he bounce back here?
Ryan Blaney picked up eight fast lap points here in the spring race and came in fifth. He could have won the whole thing if it had not been for the Hendrick cars. One exception for the Hendrick team in the spring was Alex Bowman, who almost missed finishing Stage 2 thanks to smoke and vibration in his cabin. He blew a tire in Stage 3 and had to go to pit under green.
