Last week, it was Kyle Larson winning again at the Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway. He led the race for 130 laps, a race high, and held the lead nine different times. He ended up winning by a large margin (3.619 seconds) to get his ninth win of the year, more than any other driver. This makes 15 career wins in what has been a transformative season. Chase Elliott finished as the runner-up, followed by Kevin Harvick and Kurt Busch, neither of whom are playoff-eligible. Denny Hamlin, who is still in the hunt for the Cup Series title, came in fifth. Larson still has the only automatic berth in the Championsihp 4, thanks to his wins at Texas and Kansas the last two weeks. Elliott is in second, two points ahead of Hamlin. Kyle Busch is in fourth, a point ahead of Ryan Blaney, three points ahead of Martin Truex Jr, and six points ahead of Brad Keselowski.
Let’s take a look at the NASCAR betting odds for this week’s race at Martinsville Speedway: the Xfinity 500, set for Sunday at 2:00 pm Eastern time, with the broadcast on NBC.

This race will set the Championship 4 for next week, so there will be plenty of action.
Martin Truex Jr is the favorite, as he has won three of the last four races at Martinsville Speedway, and the exception came last fall, when he lost despite leading 129 laps. Going back to his last eight starts here, he has six top-five finishes.
Chase Elliott won this race last year to bounce into the Championship 4. At the spring 2020 race, he came in fifth and was second in this spring’s race. That makes four top-five finishes in his last five starts at Martinsville.
Denny Hamlin has cracked the top five four times in his last six races at Martinsville, and he should have won the spring race here this year. He was third here and in Phoenix, came in second twice at Richmond, tenth in New Hampshire, ninth at Bristol and seventh at Dover, all of those races coming on short tracks like Martinsville.
Looking for some longer shots? Christopher Bell has three top-eight finishes in four starts at Martinsville in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. In the spring Cup Series race here in 2021, he came in seventh. William Byron has cracked the top eight three times in his last four races here. In the playoff race here in 2019, he finished second, and he finished fourth in the spring race here this year.
I would stay away from Kyle Busch. Martinsville has not been kind to him lately; his last four finishes have been 14th, 19th, 9th and 10th respectively. On 750 tracks this year, he has only cracked the top five four times, once at Darlington and three times on road courses. Kevin Harvick is out of the playoff race and came in 15th and 17th here in 2020. In the spring 2021 race here, he finished 9th.
