There are two title fights in the world of boxing this weekend, as Gabriel Gollaz Valenzuela will meet Robbie Davies Jr for the IBF Intercontinental Super Light belt, and David Avanesyan and Josh Kelly will eight for the EBU EUropean Welterweight strap, with both fights coming from London’s Wembley Arena.
Take a look at the entire slate of boxing betting choices for this weekend, and our thoughts about the two title fights.
Boxing News: Top Fights for This Weekend
Saturday, February 20 (Krasnogorsk, Russia)
Fedor Chudinov (-400) vs Isaac Chilemba (+300) — Super Middleweight (10 rounds)
Saturday, February 20 (Wembley Arena, London)
Johnny Fisher (-5000) vs Matt Gordon (+1300) — Heavyweight (4 rounds)
Cesar Jaurez (+500) vs Jordan Gill (-900) — Featherweight (10 rounds)
Gabriel Gollaz Valenzuela (+350) vs Robbie Davies Jr (-500) — IBR Intercontinental Super Light Title (10 rounds)
Valenzuela (22-2-1, 13 KO) will fight outside Mexico for just the second time, the first resulting in a draw in Canada three years ago. He found the results controversial, so this time Valenzuela plans to make sure to finish the fight, rather than leaving matters to the cards. Valenzuela’s style involves lots of counterpunching and feinting, inviting his opponent to bring the action, which allows Valenzuela to step in and deliver punishment.
Davies (20-2, 13 KO) has only fought one time since his 12-round epic bout with Lewis Ritson; in March of 2020, he fought for the first time with new trainer Dominic Ingle and won emphatically on the cards. Davies says that he is in the best shape of his life coming into this fight. He is looking past this bout to the thought of a two fights against big names in 2021 after taking this vacant belt. Is he looking past Valenzuela?
Final Prediction:
Davies wins via knockout
David Avanesyan (+130) vs Josh Kelly (-160) — EBU European Welter Title (12 rounds)
Avanesyan (26-3-1, 14 KO) finally defends his title, with unbeaten Kelly (10-0-1 6 KO) providing plenty of intrigue as the favorite. Kelly has the advantage in terms of size, but Avesanyan is the harder striker, pound for pound. Avesanyan is not an elite fighters, but he has not lost to substandard fighters. In his last three fights, he has delivered considerable punishment, including his demolition of Kerman Lejarraga. Neither fighter has stepped into the ring since December 2019. Rust is a possibility for both fighters, although the risk is slightly higher for the older Avanesyan.
Kelly has a considerable amount of skill, but he tends to think highly of himself, which can get him into trouble against quality opponents. That happened against Ray Robinson, and it might happen again with Avanesyan. I’m going with the slight edge in value that the champ offers.
Final Prediction:
Avanesyan wins via decision

Otto Wallin (-260) vs Dominic Breazeale (+210) — Heavyweight (12 rounds)
O/U 9.5 rounds (O -105 / U -115)
