The CFL Playoff Eastern Final Odds in the Canadian Football League is a rematch of last year’s showdown between the Toronto Argonauts and the Montreal Alouettes.
Last year, the Alouettes moved on after beating the Argos. This time, the Alouettes (12-5) are slight favorites over the Argos (10-8).
Montreal actually lost to Toronto over in Ontario back on September 28, 37-31, and finished the season after that with two wins in their last three games.
Their regular-season finale saw them lose, 28-27, to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
The Argonauts finished their regular season with a 31-30 overtime loss to the Edmonton Elks but bounced back on Saturday with a 58-38 shellacking of the Ottawa Redblacks in the East Semi-Finals.

Why should you bet on the Argonauts?
The Argonauts started their postseason by exorcising demons from their 2023 playoff collapse. Chad Kelly went 18 of 20 for 358 yards and four touchdowns. The 96 combined points that the teams posted tied the CFL mark for scoring in a postseason game. Makai Polk caught one of the touchdown passes and was over 100 receiving yards. DaVaris Daniels found the end zone twice. On the defensive side, Wynton McManis posted 10 tackles and picked off a pass that led to one of two defensive touchdowns for the home team.
The running game is elite for Toronto as they are second in the CFL with 121.3 yards per game. They have scored 42 offensive touchdowns this year (22 passing, 20 rushing), and they score 28.6 points per game. Their passing defense ranks seventh in the year, and their overall defense ranks fourth, allowing 363.4 yards per game. They are fifth in scoring defense, permitting 26.6 points per game. If you like the Argos here, you see them matching their mojo from their home win over Montreal and continuing their sense of mission in this postseason.

Why should you put your money on the Alouettes?
The Alouettes already had their Eastern Division title sewn up, so when the Winnipeg Blue Bombers showed up needing a win or a tie to take the West, their motivation proved to be stronger. The Alouettes, nonetheless, led by two in the waning seconds before the Blue Bombers nailed a 51-yard field goal through wind and rain to get the win. For the Alouettes, Cody Fajardo threw for 171 yards and a score, and Cole Spieker caught three of his passes for 71 yards. Walter Fletcher ran for 53 yards and a touchdown.
The Montreal offense ranks just ninth in the CFL with 335.8 yards per game. They are fifth in scoring at 25.3 points per game. Their scoring defense (22.4 points per game) ranks second, but they gave up 37 in their last meeting with Toronto. If you like Montreal, you see this as another potentially close game but think that the Alouettes will get better execution with their defense in front of the home crowd.

CFL Playoff Eastern Final Odds, Final Score and Prediction Toronto Argonauts vs Montreal Alouettes
The Alouettes come in with rest after not having to play a division semifinal game, but they also haven’t won in three weeks now.
The Argonauts’ offense performed on all cylinders last week, stacking up 58 points. I see this game going over the total, and I like Toronto’s momentum as they look to achieve the potential they saw in themselves last season before their playoff debacle.
I predict a final score of Toronto 40, Montreal 36.
