Written by on April 13, 2020

Counter Strike ia a multiplayer first-person shooter video game. Teams of terrorists try to carry out such acts as assassinations, hostage-taking and bombing, while counter-terrorist teams attempt to keep those things from happening. The game dates all the way back to 1999 as a Windows program, and the first competitive Counter Strike tournament took place in 2001 at the Cyberathlete Professional League. In the league sponsored by LOOT.BET, teams are in their sixth season. The 16 teams in this league play best-of-three matches and the league proceeds according to the Swiss System Format. The top eight teams advance to the playoffs, while the bottom eight teams are sent home after the rounds of the regular season. We have a look at the two group play matches for Tuesday, April 14, for your Counter Strike betting Odds consideration.

Nemiga vs Hard Legion pits two of the eight 1-1 teams in league play against one another, as the teams look to start separating into the higher and lower groups that will determine advancement or elimination in the Swiss Style Format. Nemiga and Hard Legion have played three times in the past, with Hard Legion winning twice and Nemiga winning once. Nemiga has three wins in their last three matches overall, while Hard Legion has just a pair, but both teams have carried the day in six fo their last ten outcomes.

In those three prior meetings, Hard Legion won last time, prevailing 2-0 on March 6. Nemiga won, 2-1, on February 17 and held a clean sweep, 2-0, on November 19, 2019. Nemiga lost their LOOT.BET Season 6 opener, falling to SKADE, 2-1, but then they bounced back with a 2-1 win over pro100 on April 14. Hard Legion also comes in off a win, having beaten Espada, 2-0, on April 12. They lost their LOOT.BET Season 6 opener to Japaleno, and in between those matches they took part in the Cyber.Bet Cup on April 10, losing 2-1 to NaVi Junior. Given that Nemiga offers slightly better value and has a better record in their last five matches, I see them turning the tables.

Prediction: Nemiga to win, 2-1

Nordavind vs Japaleno will be the third match ever between these two teams. Japaleno has won both of the prior matchups, which took place in ESEA MDL Season 33 Europe. Japaleno beat Nordavind on March 11, 16-6, and then beat them again eight days later, 2-1, using best-of-three format in the second matchup. Nordavind and Japaleno have both won two of their last five matches, but Nordavind has a more difficult record lately, winning just three of their last ten overall, while Japaleno has split their last ten.

Nordavind did win their last time out, beating winless AGO in LOOT.BET Season 6 play by a 2-1 margin on April 11. That same day, though, they took a 2-0 beating at the hands of Syman in the Cyber.Bet Cup, and the day before, they took losses against Virtus.pro and forZe in the opener of the #HomeSweetHome league. Japaleno also took a pair of losses on April 9 in #HomeSweetHome Week 1, and they lost to Sprout, 2-0, in LOOT.BET Season 6 play on April 10. However, they appear to have Nordavind’s number in Counter Strike play, so I will pick them to win again on April 14.

Prediction: Japaleno to win, 2-1
