eSports has become the focus of the sports betting world, and the Latin American professional league for League of Legends is the League of Legends Ligo Latinoamerica (LLA) , currently in its third year of operation. The league is currently entering the eighth week of play in the 2020 Opening Split, their first season of 2020. There are eight teams in the league, which follows a triple round robin format so that each team has 21 matches, all in best of one format. The top six teams go to the Opening Playoffs. Let’s check the League of Legends Odds for the LLA.
eSports: League of Legends LLA Matches: April 19
Opening Split 2020 Standings
- All Knights 11-3
- Infinity eSports CR 11-3
- Isurus 10-4
- Rainbow7 10-4
- XTEN Esports 6-8
- Pixel Esports Club 4-10
- Azules Esports 2-12
- Furious Gaming 2-12
Rainbow7 (2.1) vs Isurus (1.65) (4:00 pm ET)
These two sides have played ten times, with Isurus winning six and Rainbow7 winning four, which speaks to the slight edge Isurus holds in the odds here. However, Rainbow7 has won the last four matches in a row, dating back to June 29, 2019, when Isurus prevailed in the Closing 2019 Group stage.
Isurus rides in on a five-match winning streak, dating all the way back to March 29, when they lost to…Rainbow7. Has Isurus got the monkey off their back? Or will Rainbow7 extend the frustration? Given the even records, I’m going with the greater value.
Prediction: Rainbow7 wins
XTEN Esports (5.5) vs Infinity eSports CR (1.12) (5:00 pm ET)
XTEN Esports has won just one of the five meetings between these two teams, but that win came in their last matchup on April 11. XTEN Esports has won four of five matches in recent play, including that big win over Infinity.
Infinity eSports CR has also won four out of five, including a win over Azules Esports on April 12. Their other victims in this stretch include league leaders All Knights, Pixel Esports Club and Furious Gaming. I like Infinity to get some revenge here.
Prediction: Infinity eSports CR wins
Isurus (1.92) vs All Knights (1.82) (6:00 pm ET)
Isurus is just a game back of All Knights in the standings; the teams have met 11 times with All Knights holding the series lead all time, 6-5. The two teams have split their games in the Opening Split of 2020, with Isurus winning most recently, on April 4. The last time Isurus lost was on March 29, to Rainbow7, with wins over All Knights, Pixel Esports Club, Furious Gaming and XTEN Esports following. I’m taking that edge in value and picking Isurus here.
Prediction: Isurus wins
XTEN (3.75) Esports vs Rainbow7 (1.25) (7:00 pm ET)
Rainbow7 has dominated this series, winning eight of the nine meetings against XTEN Esports. XTEN Esports did win on August 4, in the Closing Split group stage last year, but then Rainbow7 picked up a win on March 8 of this year.
XTEN Esports has come on lately, winning four of their last five, including a win over second-place Infinity Esports on April 11. Will Rainbow7 come in overconfident? I think so, and I’m going with XTEN Esports’ higher value.
Prediction: XTEN Esports wins
Infinity eSports CR (1.8) vs All Knights (1.95) (8:00 pm ET)
This match pits the top two teams in the LLA standings against one another, and they have split their ten all-time matches with five wins apiece. Infinity eSports CR won the last two matches on March 29, and one on February 22, so All Knights has to feel due. Infinity rebounded from a loss to XTEN Esports by beating Azules Esports but could use a win over a team higher on the table.
All Knights has won three in a row since an April 4 loss to Isurus Gaming. Can they get off the schneid against Infinity? I say yes.
Prediction: All Knights wins
