Freddie Freeman has found some power lately, swatting a couple of home runs last week, and the Pirates’ starter, Francisco Liriano, did get taken deep three times in his last start, so there is a little hope for Atlanta.

Liriano has historically pitched well against the Braves, going 2-1 with a 3.60 ERA in four outings. The only two Braves hitting over .235 against him for their career are Eddie Inciarte (.333, 2-6) and Freeman (.750, 3-4). Those with extended history against Liriano haven’t done so well, though, as Jeff Francoeur is just 3 for 21 lifetime (.143), and Nick Markakis is just hitting .235 (4 for 17). Meanwhile, Andrew McCutchen is hitting .417 lifetime against Teheran, including a pair of home runs and 4 RBI.
