Houston Astros at Arizona Diamondbacks
When: 2:40pm ET Where: Chase Field, Phoenix, Arizona TV: MLBN (out-of-market only) / ATT SportsNet-SW(Houston) / FS-A (Arizona) Radio: KBME 790 (Houston) / ESPN Phoenix 620 (Arizona) Live Stream: MLB.tv MLB Betting Odds: TBA Pitching Matchup: Brad Peacock (10-1, 3.07 ERA) (HOU) vs Anthony Banda (1-2, 4.60 ERA) (ARI) Brad Peacock has started 13 games for Houston this season, posting a 7-1 record and a 3.46 ERA. He has lasted at least six innings in five of his last six outings as well, making this bullpen conversion one of the Astros’ better decisions this season. The Astros leave the weekend having just won four games in their last 10, but Peacock has been almost automatic when it comes to generating wins. Paul Goldschmidt is the only Diamondback who has hit a home run off Peacock — and none of the Diamondbacks have faced him more than five times, which should give him an edge. Anthony Banda will have a similar edge on the Astros’ lineup, as none of the Houston regulars have ever faced him. Banda has some good stuff but has served primarily as a spot starter for Arizona this season. Given the strong track record that Peacock has, even though the Astros have hit a rough patch lately, I’m picking Houston to win.Latest MLB Betting Trends

N.Y. Mets at N.Y. Yankees (7:05pm ET, SNY)
When: 7:05pm ET Where: Yankee Stadium, New York City, New York TV: SNY (Mets) / WPIX (Yankees) Radio: 710 WOR (Mets) / WFAN 660 (Yankees) Live Stream: MLB.tv MLB Betting Odds: TBA Pitching Matchup: Jacob deGrom (13-5, 3.21 ERA) (NYM) vs Sonny Gray (6-7, 3.39 ERA) (NYY) Jacob deGrom has pitched terrifically since the beginning of June, posting a 9-2 record and a 1.82 ERA, striking out 85 batters in 79 ⅓ innings. The Yankees also have a front-line pitcher on the mound in Sonny Gray. However, in his first two starts for the Yankees, Gray has not received a single run of offensive support, taking close losses against the Indians and the Blue Jays. Given the big bats that Aaron Judge (for the Yankees) and Michael Conforto (for the Mets) bring into this game, though, we could see some big blasts into the night sky. Judge has slumped a bit since the All-Star Game, but Conforto has been on fire, hitting a dozen home runs since the Midsummer Classic. Despite Judge’s slump, the Yankees are still way ahead of the Mets in the win-loss column, and the Mets may be looking to give their young players some exposure to this storied rivalry. Yankee Stadium is one of the game’s biggest stages, and there’s no substitute for experience in situations like that. However, that means that the Yankees are more likely to win — and I’m picking them in this matchup.Latest MLB Betting Trends
