The Kansas City Royals (3-7) head north to Wrigley Field to take on the Chicago Cubs (7-2) for a pair of games on Monday and Tuesday nights. The Cubs have made the most of the start of the shortened 60-game MLB season, already posting a 2 ½ game lead over the Milwaukee Brewers in the National League Central. The Royals started 2-2 but have dropped five of six since then, as the offense has been very inconsistent. All of Major League Baseball seems to be waiting for the next COVID-19 outbreak on a team, but for now the games are on, and teams are fighting for a slot in the postseason while also trying to stay healthy. Take a look at our sports betting suggestions for each of these two games so you can make your bets against their NBA odds.

How should you bet on Monday’s game?
Danny Duffy has been inconsistent so far in his first two starts. His first start, in Cleveland, was decent, as he permitted two earned runs on three hits over 4 ⅓ innings, although he offense could not manage anything in a 2-0 loss. His second start saw him make it through five innings, but he gave up four earned runs on three hits, including a home run — even though he struck out eight, in a game that Kansas City would lose late to Detroit, 5-4.
Mills has made one start so far on the season, lasting six innings in an 8-5 win over the Cincinnati Reds. He pitched well, holding the Reds to just two runs on two hits (including a home run), walking two and striking out three. Based on the pitching matchup, the Cubs seem to have the edge here, at least through the early innings, and the Cubs’ offense has been more productive than the Royals’ to this point.
Final Prediction: Cubs 6, Royals 4
How should you bet on Tuesday’s game?
The Royals have won both of the games that Brady Singer has started, although the bullpen has gotten the win in both cases. On July 25, he started in Cleveland and went five innings, permitting two runs on three hits, fanning seven and walking two, in a game the Royals would win, 3-2, in ten innings. On July 30, he got the start at Detroit, going five innings and permitting two runs on five hits — but two of those hits were solo home runs. He did strike out three and walk two, and he was able to keep any other damage from happening in a game the team would win, 5-3.
Kyle Hendricks started out with a terrific start, throwing a complete-game shutout on July 24 against the Milwaukee Brewers, scattering three hits and striking out nine. However, on July 29 he got shelled in Cincinnati, giving up six runs on seven hits (including a home run), striking out just three and walking two over 4 ⅓ innings in a 12-7 loss. Which Hendricks will show up on Tuesday? I’m still taking the Cubs here, because I think Hendricks bounces back.
Final Prediction: Cubs 4, Royals 1
