The only Oriole who has ever homered off Fiers is slugger Chris Davis, and none of the Baltimore batters who have faced Fiers more than four times has a career average over .200 against him. He faced the Twins earlier this year in relief, but Minnesota shelled him for eight runs in that outing. Overall, Sanchez has made six starts, putting up a 3.99 ERA over 29 ⅓ combined innings, fanning 25 batters and walking just four. Overall, Sanchez has a career 5-4 record with a 3.65 ERA. Ervin Santana continues to keep the Twins competitive; in his last start, he led Minnesota to a win over Houston, pitching six strong innings and limiting that powerful Astros lineup to just a pair of runs. Lifetime, Santana has gone 9-4 against the Tigers, posting a 3.08 ERA and striking out 110 batters in 122 ⅔ innings.
