Rising Teams to Win the 2016 World Series

Written by on August 12, 2016

As we continue to move along in the dog days of summer, we continue to get a better idea of the 10 teams that will be playing in the postseason within Major League Baseball. Several of the divisional races have gotten out of hand, and the wildcard contenders are dwindling. Every season, there is a team that plays hot late, and has a chance to get into the postseason. This year we are going to talk about teams that are on the rise to win the 2016 World Series. Let’s take a look at these MLB betting predictions:

Here are the Rising Teams to Win the 2016 World Series

St. Louis Cardinals

The first team we want to discuss is a team we have seen win postseason games in the past. The St. Louis Cardinals have a little bit of a nasty taste in their mouth coming off the best of 5 series loss to their rival Chicago Cubs a season ago. Now, this season, the Cardinals are chasing the Cubs in the National League Central, and will likely have to beat the Cubs in a postseason series. The Cardinals starting pitching has been inconsistent this season, and the offense has seen several key injuries. Aledmys Diaz should be back the postseason, and with a healthy Matt Carpenter and Brandon Moss, along with Jhonny Peralta, this team is not out of the question to win their 3rd World Series title in 11 years. Look at the St. Louis Cardinals at +3300 as one of the teams on the rise to win the World Series.

Detroit Tigers

The Detroit Tigers are a team that I would not want to face in the postseason. We have seen how well the Detroit Tigers can hit the baseball. Miguel Cabrera is still smashing the baseball around, and Ian Kinsler is having another solid season. The starting pitching for Detroit has been strong with veteran Justin Verlander, and the rookie Michael Fullmer. If the Tigers can get Jordan Zimmerman right coming off the disabled list, and the bullpen can nail down the final innings, Detroit is going to be a tough team to beat. Take a look at the Detroit Tigers at +1800 to win the 2016 World Series.

Los Angeles Dodgers

The Los Angeles Dodgers have been on the rise as of late as well. Now, the Dodgers are doing this without their multiple time Cy Young award winner, Clayton Kershaw. Los Angeles also has other key injuries to the starting rotation. We are banking on several of these guys coming back strong, and notably Clayton Kershaw coming back and throwing some huge innings for Los Angeles. Kershaw and the Dodgers have been there before, and this is the time they may be able to get things right. The bet of the Los Angeles Dodgers at +1400 is one to look at when you are looking for teams on the rise to win the 2016 World Series. There you have it. We have three teams on the rise that we think could be massive contenders to win the 2016 World Series. Enjoy the rest of the Major League Baseball season, and best of luck with all your betting.
