Seattle Mariners at Tampa Bay Rays MLB Betting Prediction

After an off day, the Seattle Mariners open up a three-game midweek series in Tampa Bay against the Rays. The Mariners (34-29) are in second place in the American League West after falling to the Texas Rangers on Sunday, 6-4. The Rays (29-32) are in fifth place in the American League East and knocked off the Houston Astros, 5-0, on Sunday. Be sure to check out for more MLB odds by clicking here.

Seattle Mariners at Tampa Bay Rays MLB Betting Prediction & TV Info

When: Tuesday, June 14, 2016, 7:10pm Eastern time Where: Tropicana Field, St. Petersburg, FL TV: SUN, RTNW Radio: Seattle / Tampa Bay Live Stream: MLB.tv MLB Odds: TBA Pitching Matchup: Taijuan Walker (3-6, 3.48 ERA) (SEA) vs Jake Odorizzi (3-3, 3.47 ERA) (TB)

Why should you bet on Seattle?

Don’t look too harshly at Taijuan Walker’s 3-6 record. Look instead at that decent 3.48 ERA. He hasn’t gotten much run support from the Mariners. He was magnificent his last time out, keeping the Cleveland Indians off the scoreboard through eight innings and scattering three hits in a 5-0 win. That was his first win since April 25, but when his stuff is on, it is fantastic. None of the Rays have more than five career at-bats against Walker, which should be an advantage for him.

Why should you put your money on the Rays?

The Rays just demolished reigning Cy Young Award winner Dallas Keuchel on Sunday, as the Rays pounded him in the fifth with a double, three singles and a couple of walks. It didn’t help that the Astros committed one error and misplayed the second end of a double play that inning, but all of a sudden the Astros had given up five runs. The Rays have won seven of nine and are picking up some steam in the East. They remain 6 ½ games out of first, but it’s just the second week in June.

Expert Betting Pick and Final Score Prediction

I like the Mariners to win this one behind another strong outing from Taijuan Walker. I’m predicting a 4-2 Seattle win.
