While Carlos Martinez has been a dominant pitcher thus far for the Diamondbacks, the Arizona offense has been powerful as of late. Chris Herrmann drove in four runs during Arizona’s 7-1 win over Pittsburgh on Saturday night. Once they got into the Pirates’ bullpen, the Diamondbacks put five runs on the board to put the game on ice. If they can get to Martinez’s fastball, they could get him out of the game early. Paul Goldschmidt is one of the best hitters in all of baseball and has been raking. The problems for the Diamondbacks come from their pitching, as the starters and bullpen have been inconsistent.
