Saturday, July 8th
Atlanta Braves at Washington Nationals
When: 4:05pm ET Where: Nationals Park, Washington, D.C. TV: MLBN (out-of-market only) / FSSO (Atlanta) / MASN 2 (Washington) Radio: 93.7 FM (Atlanta) / 106.7 The Fan (Washington) Live Stream: MLB.tv Pitching Matchup: Julio Teheran (6-6, 5.14 ERA) (ATL) vs Stephen Strasburg (9-2, 3.28 ERA) (WAS) Let’s see. Stephen Strasburg has gone 6-1 in nine starts against the Braves since the beginning of the 2015 campaign. In seven of those outings, he has permitted no more than two earned runs. Right now he sits among the major league leaders in strikeouts with 128. Freddie Freeman (.361 career average against Strasburg, 4 HR, 12 RBI), Matt Kemp (.350, 1 HR, 2 RBI), Matt Adams (.353, 2 HR, 5 RBI) and Nick Markakis (.308, 1 HR, 4 RBI) have all hit decently against Strasburg, but can the Braves really win this one? Who Will Start Off for the Braves? They start Julio Teheran, who has a 2.88 road ERA this season in eight starts. Five of his six victories have come on the road, and he went 6 ⅓ innings his last time out, permitting a pair of runs. So yes, the Braves do have a shot, but following Strasburg’s numbers, I’m taking the Nationals to win this one. Latest MLB Betting Trends- Braves are 4-2 ATS in the last 6 games
- Nationals are 2-5 ATS in the last 7 games
- Braves are 4-2 SU in the last 6 games
- Nationals are 4-2 SU in the last 6 games at home
- The total went UNDER in 8 of Atlanta’s last 11 games
- The total went UNDER in 6 of Washington’s last 8 games at home
Boston Red Sox at Tampa Bay Rays
When: 4:10pm ET Where: Tropicana Field, St. Petersburg, Florid TV: NESN (Boston) / Fox Sports Sun (Tampa Bay) Radio: WCEC 1490 AM (Boston) / WDAE 620 AM (Tampa Bay) Live Stream: MLB.tv Pitching Matchup: Rick Porcello (4-10, 5.01 ERA) (BOS) vs Alex Cobb (6-6, 4.01 ERA) (TB) Rick Porcello looked good against Texas on Monday, heading for a win until Craig Kimbrel blew the save in the ninth. However, Porcello has given up at least three runs in seven straight starts. He relies on those timely Boston bats to help him — but he doesn’t have ten losses without reason. Who Will Take the Mound for the Rays? He faces Alex Cobb, who tends to give up the home run at just the wrong time. He has started against the Red Sox twice this season, posting a 1-0 record and a 5.56 ERA. I see this game turning into a bit of a slugfest, and the Red Sox have the better offense so far this season. I’m taking Boston to win this one on the road, but just like on Monday in Texas, the win will come when the bullpens have taken over. Latest MLB Betting Trends- Red Sox are 6-2 ATS in the last 8 games
- Rays are 4-2 ATS in the last 6 games
- Red Sox are 6-2 SU in the last 8 games
- Rays are 4-2 SU in the last 6 games
- The total went OVER in 6 of Boston’s last 9 games on the road
- The total went UNDER in 6 of Tampa Bay’s last 9 games
Sunday, July 9th
Baltimore Orioles at Minnesota Twins
When: 2:10pm ET Where: Target Field, Minneapolis, Minnesota TV: MASN (Baltimore) / FSNO (Minnesota) Radio: 105.7 The Fan (Baltimore) / Go 96.3 (Minnesota) Live Stream: MLB.tv Pitching Matchup: Ubaldo Jimenez (3-4, 6.64 ERA) (BAL) vs Kyle Gibson (5-6, 5.82 ERA) (MIN) Ubaldo Jimenez had a rough outing in his last start, permitting five runs in five innings. However, before that, he threw eight shutout innings in an Oriole win over the Toronto Blue Jays. His career record against Minnesota is decent — 5-3 with a 3.13 ERA in 12 starts. Joe Mauer and Max Kepler are the only Twins who have ever taken Jimenez out of the yard. Who Will Face the Orioles as the Pitcher? Kyle Gibson takes the hill for the Twins, and he comes off a hot start against the Angels in which he permitted a pair of runs in 6 ⅔ innings. In his last eight starts, he has improved his ERA, posting a 3.91 average over that time. Manny Machado (.308) is the only Oriole batter with much experience against Gibson who has an average higher against him than his career totals. I like the Twins to take this game at home.Latest MLB Betting Trends

- Orioles are 1-6 SU in the last 7 games
- Twins are 4-2 SU in the last 6 games

Detroit Tigers at Cleveland Indians
When: 8:05pm ET Where: Progressive Field, Cleveland, Ohio TV: FS-D (Detroit) / SportsTime Ohio (Cleveland) Radio: 97.1 The Ticket (Detroit) / WTAM 1100 (Clevelan Live Stream: MLB.tv Pitching Matchup: Michael Fulmer (8-6, 3.20 ERA) (DET) vs Corey Kluber (7-3, 2.85 ERA) (CLE) Hmmm…the Tribe start Corey Kluber, who has fanned at least 10 batters in each of his last five starts. His last time out, he permitted just a single run over eight innings, scattering five hits and issuing just a single walk. Who Will Be Kluber’s Opponent on Sunday? He faces Michael Fulmer, who will be the lone Detroit Tiger in the All-Star game, thanks to that 3.20 ERA, but who also has a 6.98 ERA lifetime against Cleveland in four starts. Give me the Indians to win on Sunday Night Baseball…and to close out this parlay. Latest MLB Betting Trends- Tigers are 6-12 SU in the last 18 games

- The total went UNDER in 11 of Cleveland’s last 15 games
