Friday Game #1: Milwaukee Brewers at Philadelphia Phillies
When: Friday, July 21st. 7:05pm ET Where: Citizens Bank Park, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania TV: FSWI (Milwaukee) / NBC 10 (Philadelphia) Radio: WTMJ 620 (Milwaukee) / 94 WIP (Philadelphia) Live Stream: MLB.tv MLB Betting Odds: Phillies -140 Pitching Matchup: Matt Garza (4-4, 3.84 ERA) (MIL) vs Aaron Nola (6-6, 3.54 ERA) (PHI) Young Aaron Nola is the best starter that the Phillies have. In his last five starts, he has posted a 3-1 record with a 1.78 ERA — and a 0.99 WHIP. He has fanned 41 men in his last 35 ⅓ innings. His last start, also against the Brewers (and against Garza), saw him permit a pair of runs over six innings in the loss. Look for outfielder Nick Williams to keep his hot bat going. He has hit seven home runs in July already — can he take Garza deep? The Brewers definitely need a win, as Chicago has closed within a game in the National League Central, and the Pirates are just three games back. Matt Garza has pitched well lately, posting a 1.0 record and a 1.65 ERA in his last three outings, and he has posted a 2.28 career ERA against Philadelphia in nine outings. However, Garza has a history of coming apart when situations turn clutch, and I like Nola to lead the Phillies to a win in this series opener.Latest MLB Betting Trends

Friday Game #2: N.Y. Yankees at Seattle Mariners
When: Friday, July 21st. 10:10pm ET Where: Safeco Field, Seattle, Washington TV: YES (NY) / ROOTNW (Seattle) Radio: 101.9 FM (NY) / 710 ESPN (Seattle) Live Stream: MLB.tv MLB Betting Odds: Yankees -125 Pitching Matchup: C.C. Sabathia (8-3, 3.54 ERA) (NY) vs Andrew Moore (1-1, 5.25 ERA) (SEA) C.C. Sabathia has definitely found his old mojo this year — and he showed it once again on Sunday, as he led the Yankees to a win in the first game of their day-night doubleheader. He limited Boston to just a pair of hits over six innings, walking five but pitching well enough to keep them from coming around to score. Sabathia faces Andrew Moore, who the Mariners have brought up from the minors to see what he can contribute as the Mariners try to catch one of those wild card slots. His first three starts went well, but he permitted five runs on six hits (including three long balls) in his last start against the Chicago White Sox. If the Bronx bats can keep their recent revival up, I like Sabathia to do his part to lead the Yankees to a win.Latest MLB Betting Trends

Sunday Game #1: Houston Astros at Baltimore Orioles
When: Sunday, July 23rd. 1:35 PM ET Where: Camden Yards, Baltimore TV: TBS / ATT SportsNet-SW (Houston) / MASN (Baltimore) Stream: MLB.tv Radio: KBME 790 (Houston) / 105.7 The Fan (Baltimore) MLB Betting Odds: TBA Pitching Matchup: Lance McCullers Jr (7-2, 3.28 ERA) (HOU) vs Dylan Bundy (9-8, 4.18 ERA) (BAL) The Baltimore Orioles are coming into the weekend riding high on the momentum of a four-game sweep of the Texas Rangers, but they will face a more legitimate pitching staff with the Astros in town — and with McCullers on the mound. He returned from the disabled list on June 24 and has made four starts since then. His ERA has been higher (6.05) since he came back, but he is showing signs of recovering his plus fastball. Opposite McCullers will be Dylan Bundy, who pitched well in his last outing against Texas, permitting a single run on four hits over six innings. The Astros have scuffled a little bit, dropping two of three to the Mariners this week, but they had won three of four before that, and McCullers has improved with each start since his DL stint. Give me the Astros to win here.Latest MLB Betting Trends

Sunday Game #2: Detroit Tigers at Minnesota Twins
When: Sunday, July 23rd. 2:10pm ET Where: Target Field, Minneapolis, Minnesota TV: (Detroit) / (Minnesota) Radio: (Detroit) / (Minnesota) Live Stream: MLB.tv MLB Betting Odds: TBA Pitching Matchup: Matthew Boyd (3-5, 5.58 ERA) (DET) vs Adalberto Mejia (4-4, 4.22 ERA) (MIN) Matthew Boyd had a pair of starts against the Twins back in April and fared decently, going 10 ⅓ combined innings and permitting just two runs over the two starts. He’ll need to watch out for Brian Dozier (.316 lifetime average, 1 HR, 1 RBI) and Robbie Grossman (.500, 2 HR, 4 RBI) this time out though. Adalberto Mejia takes the ball for the Twins, and he has put together a solid July so far, posting a 3.79 combined ERA in three starts, fanning 15 batters. He permitted just one run on five hits against the Yankees on Monday, coming out after 5 ⅓ innings thanks to a high pitch count. None of the Tigers have faced Mejia more than two times, though, which gives him an edge. I like the Twins to win this one as they try to catch the inconsistent Tribe in the American League Central.Latest MLB Betting Trends
