When: 7:08pm ET Where: Fenway Park, Boston, Massachusetts TV: ESPN / SportsTime Ohio (Cleveland) / NESN (Boston) Radio: WMMS 100.7 (Cleveland) / WEEI 93.7 (Boston) Live Stream: MLB.tv MLB Series Odds: Indians -120 Pitching Matchup: Mike Clevinger (5-3, 3.20 ERA) (CLE) vs Doug Fister (0-5, 7.46 ERA) (BOS) The Cleveland Indians just had a nine-game winning streak halted on Sunday. However, they are still one of the hottest teams in all of baseball — and they take the field on Monday against a pitcher in Doug Fister who had been moved to the bullpen but came back to the rotation when Red Sox ace David Price went to the disabled list with elbow issues. Fister’s last start wasn’t particularly rosy, as he lasted just 4 ⅓ innings against Toronto, permitting six runs and issuing four walks. However, Michael Brantley (.471, 1 HR, 4 RBI) is the only Indian who has hit Fister all that well over extended at-bats.Who Will Start for Cleveland on Monday?
The Tribe will start Mike Clevinger, who also lasted just 4 ⅓ innings in his last start, permitting five earned runs (six overall) against the Angels. However, that was more of a blip statistically speaking, as Clevinger has posted a combined 2.41 ERA over his last seven trips to the mound. Only two of the Red Sox regulars have ever faced Clevinger, and none of them have faced him more than three times. I like the Indians to rout Fister and pick up a win in the opener.Tuesday, August 1st
When: 7:10pm ET Where: Fenway Park, Boston, Massachusetts TV: MLBN (out-of-market only), SportsTime Ohio (Cleveland) / NESN (Boston) Radio: WMMS 100.7 (Cleveland) / WEEI 93.7 (Boston) Live Stream: MLB.tv MLB Series Odds: TBA Pitching Matchup: Carlos Carrasco (10-4, 3.58 ERA) (CLE) vs Chris Sale (13-4, 2.37 ERA) (BOS) As solid a year as Carlos Carrasco has had overall this year, he’s been even better on the road, posting a 7-2 record and a 2.87 ERA in his 11 starts away from Progressive Field. On Wednesday, he limited the Angels to a pair of runs over 6 ⅓ innings, fanning five batters. Mitch Moreland (.375, 2 HR, 6 RBI) and Brock Holt (.667, 1 HR, 2 RBI) have hit well against Carrasco in the past, but eight of the Boston regulars have never hit safely against him. The Red Sox send one of their best pitchers to the mound on Tuesday night in Chris Sale, right now MLB’s leading strikeout man with 211. He has not permitted a run in his last three outings, and in his last start he fanned 11 batters and scattered three hits, throwing seven scoreless frames against the Seattle Mariners. Edwin Encarnacion (.385, 1 HR, 2 RBI), Carlos Santana (.333, 1 HR, 9 RBI) and Francisco Lindor (.500 in 16 AB, 1 HR, 2 RBI) have all hit well off Sale, but given the groove that he’s in right now, I’m taking the Red Sox to take the second game of this series.Wednesday, August 2nd

He gave up two more in his last start, in which he lasted seven innings but permitted four runs. Edwin Encarnacion (.324, 3 HR, 9 RBI) and Yan Gomes (.385) have hit Porcello hard in the past.Who Will Kick Off Wednesday for the Indians?
Trevor Bauer takes the hill for Cleveland in the finale. His early season starts were not particularly impressive, but his June and July have been much better. He held the Angels to just one run in eight solid innings on Thursday, striking out six batters. The Red Sox, though, have owned him in the past, as he has permitted 11 runs in just 7 ⅔ innings over three combined starts. Mookie Betts (.600, 1 HR, 4 RBI), Brock Holt (.667) and Hanley Ramirez (.400) all have solid numbers against Bauer. I see this battle going to the bullpen — and the Indians have the better relieving corps, so give me Cleveland on Wednesday in a high-scoring affair. If the run total is six or less, I’d definitely take the over.Latest MLB Series Betting Trends
