Top MLB Series of the Week (June 5-11)

Major League Baseball starts a new week of games. There are some great matchups set for this week and we have quite a bunch to look at. As we get closer and closer to the midseason, some of these games are very important and can make a difference once July comes around. With that in mind, let’s take a look at a few of the top MLB Betting Series of the Week.

Top MLB Series of the Week (June 5-11)

St. Louis Cardinals at Cincinnati Reds

A four game series that starts on Monday between two teams in the National League Central. Both teams are chasing the Milwaukee Brewers in the National League Central. The Cardinals will throw Carlos Martinez, Adam Wainwright, Lance Lynn and Mike Leake to the mound. Cincinnati will counter with Asher Wojeiechowski, Tim Adleman, Bronson Arroyo and Scott Feldman. The Cardinals have been playing a little better on the road than at home. The Reds pitching has really struggled. Look for the St. Louis offense to come alive. We are betting the Cardinals win 3 out of 4.

Washington Nationals at Los Angeles Dodgers

Three game series between two of the best teams in the National League. The Nationals are running away from the National League East, while the Dodgers are fighting hard with Colorado and Arizona in the National League West. Monday will feature Gio Gonzalez for Washington against Hyun Jin Ryu for the Dodgers. On Tuesday, Max Scherzer will throw against Brandon McCarthy, and finally on Wednesday Stephen Strasburg will take on Clayton Kershaw. Our bet for this series is the Nationals win Games 1 and 2, and Kershaw slams the door on a possible sweep on Wednesday.

Boston Red Sox at New York Yankees

One of the best rivalries in all of Major League Baseball. The Red Sox are trying to chase down the New York Yankees at the top of the American League East. Both teams can really hit. New York’s pitching has been surprising solid. Drew Pomeranz will take on Masahiro Tanaka on Tuesday. That will be followed by Rick Porcello against C.C. Sabathia on Wednesday and then David Price battles Michael Pineda on Thursday. Our guess for this series is the Boston Red Sox win two out of three, with the Yankees grabbing Tuesday’s game.

Colorado Rockies at Chicago Cubs

The last time these two teams met up, the Rockies won two out of three. Colorado has been great, especially on the offensive side. The surprising part has been the Colorado pitching. The Rockies and Cubs will play four games. The Rockies are sending German Marquez,Tyler Chatwood, Jeff Hoffman and Antonio Senzatela to the mound. For the Chicago Cubs, they will counter with Jon Lester, Kyle Hendricks, Eddie Butler and Jake Arrieta. Until the Cubs win more consistently, we are looking at a four game split at Wrigley. There you have it. Enjoy the games in Major League Baseball. Should be a fun week for games, and we are excited to check out what comes about with a few of these great series. Best of luck with any and all of your Major League Baseball betting this week!
