Winning MLB Betting Picks to Parlay this Weekend’s Action

One way to make your betting picks a little more exciting is to take advantage of parlay picks when multiple favorable matchups pop up on the same day. We have a couple of MLB betting picks to parlay on this weekend, one on Saturday and one on Sunday, to help you get even more of a bang for your buck out of your wagering.

Winning MLB Betting Picks to Parlay this Weekend’s Action

Boston Red Sox at Toronto Blue Jays

When: Saturday, July 1st, 2017. 1:07pm ET Where: Rogers Centre, Toronto TV: MLBN (out-of-market only) / NESN (Boston) / SNET (Toronto) Radio: WCEC 1490 AM (Boston) / SN590 (Toronto) Live Stream: MLB.tv MLB Betting Odds: Pitching Matchup: Chris Sale (10-3, 2.77 ERA) (BOS) vs Francisco Liriano (4-3, 5.46 ERA) (TOR) Why not start your parlay picks with the newest Boston ace? Sale leads the American League in strikeouts with 155. He has limited opponents to a .200 batting average. His last time out, he had nine strikeouts. While Kendrys Morales and Josh Donaldson have each taken Sale deep twice in their careers, no one on the Blue Jays who has faced him more than three times has a career batting average against him higher than .286.

Who Will Take the Plate for the Giants?

Opposite Sale is Francisco Liriano, who is doing a fairly good job limiting opponent scoring (permitting no more than three runs in four of his last five starts). But he’s having a hard time getting out of the fifth and sixth innings — and that Blue Jays bullpen has problems. I see Boston winning this one.

Cleveland Indians at Detroit Tigers

When: Saturday, July 1st, 2017. 1:10pm ET Where: Comerica Park, Detroit, Michigan TV: SportsTime Ohio (Cleveland) / FS-D (Detroit) Radio: WTAM 1100 (Cleveland) / 97.1 The Ticket (Detroit) Live Stream: MLB.tv Pitching Matchup: Carlos Carrasco (8-3, 3.67 ERA) (CLE) vs Jordan Zimmermann (5-5, 5.53 ERA) (DET) The Tribe begin a doubleheader in Detroit with Carlos Carrasco on the mound. He got taken to the woodshed his last time out, permitting eight runs on six hits in 3 ⅓ innings against the Texas Rangers on Monday (although Cleveland would score 13 unanswered runs to win the game, 15 9).

Who Will Pitch for Detroit?

He faces Jordan Zimmermann, who got tattooed last Sunday for two home runs and five runs in just four innings, also taking a no-decision. While both pitchers got torched in their last outing, Carrasco has by far the better track record this season. I see the Indians winning this to complete that parlay.

The Mets are MLB betting favorites

Philadelphia Phillies at N.Y. Mets

When: Sunday, July 2nd, 2017. 1:10pm ET Where: Citi Field, New York City, New York TV: CSN-P (Philadelphia) / SNY (New York) Radio: 94 WIP (Philadelphia) / 710 WOR (New York) Live Stream: MLB.tv Pitching Matchup: Nick Pivetta (1-4, 5.40 ERA) (PHI) vs Rafael Montero (5.63 ERA) (NY) Nick Pivetta is another arm in that Phillies’ youth movement, and he has not pitched all that well so far. He went just 2 ⅔ innings his last time out, permitting six runs on seven hits against the Diamondbacks. If you just look at the numbers, his opponent, Rafael Montero, has been just as dismal this season.

How Has It Been So Far for Montero?

However, after an awful April and May, Montero has really turned things around in June. He has come on twice in long relief and made one start in the place of the injured Robert Gsellman, posting a 1.56 ERA combined and striking out 15 batters.

Colorado Rockies at Arizona Diamondbacks

When: Sunday, July 2nd, 2017. 4:10pm ET Where: Chase Field; Phoenix, AZ TV: MLBN (out-of-market only) / ROOTRM (Colorado) / FS-A (Arizona) Radio: KOA 850 AM (Colorado) / 98.7 FM (Arizona) Live Stream: MLB.tv Pitching Matchup: German Marquez (5-4, 4.38 ERA) (COL) vs Taijuan Walker (6-3, 3.50 ERA) (ARI) Marquez makes his fourth start of the season against Arizona on Sunday afternoon. In his first three outings, he has posted an 0-1 record with a 3.00 ERA and 14 strikeouts, over 18 innings combined. His last start was not particularly impressive, though, as he lasted just four innings, giving up five runs to a subpar San Francisco offense. Taijuan Walker starts for the Diamondbacks. On Tuesday, he went 6 ⅓ innings against St. Louis, taking a no-decision. He still had a strong June, though, posting a 2-0 record and a 3.63 ERA — permitting just one home run in the entire month. I see Walker outpitching Marquez to give the Diamondbacks the series finale. This will close out a 10-game stretch in which the Rockies, Diamondbacks and Dodgers have all met — the three teams clustered at the top of the National League West — and it will be interesting to see where the standings sit at that point.
