In the NBA, no team is hotter this morning in the Western Conference than the Oklahoma City Thunder, winners of eight of their last ten. There is some crowding at the top of the West standings, as the Los Angeles Lakers are slowing down a bit and the Los Angeles Clippers and the Denver Nuggets are charging hard, both teams just three games behind the Lakers. The San Antonio Spurs have hit a bit of a bump in the road, dropping four in a row and seven of ten. The Eastern Conference has the league’s hottest team, as Toronto has won 14 in a row, although Boston (seven straight) is doing its best to keep pace. The Milwaukee Bucks are still atop the East, winners of four in a row and nine of ten. The Indiana Pacers are sliding down the standings, still in sixth but losers of five in a row and seven of ten. We have picked two games from the Association for your sports betting consideration for the coming week. Let’s see how the NBA betting odds will be for this week 17.

Monday, February 10
Miami at Golden State (10:30 pm ET)
The Miami Heat headed west with a full head of steam, having beaten Philadelphia by 31 at home before packing their bags. However, things have cooled off significantly, as the Heat have lost to the Clippers, the Kings and the Trail Blazers on their trip so far. That loss to Portland came on Sunday, 115-109, as Miami saw Andre Iguodala make his debut in a Heat jersey. Iguodala had not played since the NBA Finals and had a bucket. The Heat were playing without Tyler Herro and Jimmy Butler; you’ll want to check their latest status before locking in bets for Monday night.
Next up for the Heat are the Golden State Warriors, who are gradually making improvements in their season. They had won two in a row before losing in Brooklyn by 41; they came home to face the Lakers on Saturday and only lost by five. In that game, Andrew Wiggins made his debut for Golden State, and he put up 24 points, going 8 for 12 and nailing three shots from downtown. He also had five steals. Wiggins guarded LeBron James for much of the games, and James was held in check for most of the first three quarters before finding some shots in the fourth and finishing with 22 points. Can the Warriors continue Miami’s misery? Or will the Heat get back into the win column?
Final Score Prediction: Golden State 117, Miami 111

L.A. Clippers at Philadelphia (7:00 pm ET, TNT)
The Los Angeles Clippers have won four of five; they took an ugly 27-point loss in Minnesota on Saturday but then turned right around and routed the Cavaliers on the road on Sunday, 133-92. They’ll continue their East Coast swing Tuesday night in the City of Brotherly Love. That win over Cleveland was the worst home loss the Cavaliers had ever taken in franchise history — and the Clippers did not dress Kawhi Leonard. Lou Williams put up 25 points, Paul George added 22, and Marcus Morris scored ten in his Clipper debut. The Clippers’ largest wlead was 45 points early in the fourth quarter.
Next comes a much tougher team in Philadelphia, who got swept on a four-game road trip but came home to beat Memphis and Chicago. The 76ers added Alec Burks and Glenn Robinson III at the trade deadline to bring in some outside shooting, but Furkan Korkmaz stole the limelight, putting up 31 points — his second straight game with at least 30 points. He went 12 for 17 from the floor, including 6 for 11 from downtown. Joel Embiid put up 28 points and a dozen boards, and Ben Simmons had a triple-double with 19 points, ten boards and ten assists. Philadelphia is 24-2 at home — and 9-19 on the road. Can they beat an elite West team after their recent turmoil?
Final Score Prediction: Philadelphia 116, Los Angeles 110
