NBA Betting Preview on Chicago at New York

Written by on March 23, 2016

On Thursday, the Chicago Bulls head to New York City to take on the Knicks on Thursday night. This is the second half of a home-and-home series for these two teams, who meet Wednesday night in Chicago. The Knicks (28-43) are in third place in the Atlantic Division and just lost at home to Sacramento, 88-80. The Bulls (36-33) are in third place in the Central Division and just beat those same Kings at home, 109-102. Don’t forget to be on the lookout for more odds and lines on NBA by clicking here.

Why Should You Bet on the Bulls?

The Bulls have been scuffling along lately, dropping a number of games since Jimmy Butler went on the shelf. However, against the Kings, they showed a fire they haven’t shown in a while. Taj Gibson and Derrick Rose each dropped 18 on Sacramento, Doug McDermott scored 16 and Pau Gasol posted 14 points and 14 boards in a comeback win. The Bulls went on a key 10-0 run in the fourth period to erase a five-point gap and come out on the win. Gasol posted that double-double in just 24 minutes, returning from a knee injury. With that same energy they should be able to knock off the Knicks.

Why Should You Put Your Money on New York?

Unless Carmelo Anthony can return to the lineup, I would not expect the Knicks to put up much of a fight on either end of this home-and-home series. DeMarcus Cousins was all over the Knicks in the Kings’ win, scoring 24 points and grabbing 20 rebounds. Robin Lopez couldn’t stop Cousins (although he had a big night of his own, 23 points and 20 boards), and so the Kings pushed on for the victory. If Lopez can play high-intensity and get some help from the backcourt, the Knicks might cover, but I don’t see them winning.

Expert Betting Pick and Final Score Prediction

I like the Bulls to polish off the Knicks in New York. I’m predicting a 99-91 final.
