Golden State Warriors Visit Dallas Mavericks in Saturday’s NBA Betting Clash

Written by on April 4, 2015

Part of the fun of watching the final stretch of games in the NBA season is seeing the elite teams rise to the top while the teams below them fight for their playoff lives. The Golden State Warriors are proving themselves to be the cream of the regular season crop, while the Dallas Mavericks are in danger of sliding out of playoff existence. These two teams meet up on Saturday night in a high voltage NBA betting clash, and all the pressure is Dallas.
Date/Time: Saturday, April 4th, 8:30 PM
Location: American Airlines Center, Dallas, Texas TV: CSN Bay AreaK Radio: NBR 680 AM Spread: Mavericks -3.5
The Mavericks very likely saved their playoff skin by beating the Oklahoma City Thunder earlier in the week, but they still have some work to do if they want to maintain the 7th seed that they are now clinging to. No-one wants to face the Warriors in the first round, which makes that 8th seed feel more like a death sentence than a reward for a decent season. Dallas have just not been very good at all recently, and have managed to go just 5-5 in their last 10 games. They are beating the teams below them, but cannot seem to come to grips with the teams that are in the playoffs right now. It is certainly looking as though they are going to make it in by the skin of their teeth, but how long they can last in a super competitive Western playoff battle remains to be seen.

Injuries: Golden State Warriors: Draymond Green F D2D (shin) Dallas Mavericks: Chandler Parsons F D2D (knee) There is nothing I can say about the Golden State Warriors that hasn’t already been said by a ton of other folks. This team is for real, and they have an 11-game win streak going at a time when they would be excused for taking things a little bit easier. What’s so strange about the whole Warriors situation is that there are still some people out there who believe that they could be in trouble if they have to meet the Oklahoma City Thunder in the opening round of the playoffs, which is something that is looking more and more likely with each passing game. I would say that you write this team off at your own peril. Betting Trends:

NBA bettors should note that the Golden State Warriors have already taken down Dallas on three separate occasions this season, and I see no reason why they cannot complete the sweep on Saturday night. There is always the possibility that Golden State may rest a guy or two, but I still think they have more than enough to get the win.
