The Clippers looked for a moment as though they were going to get through the loss of Griffin without any real problems, but have since lost 2 in a row, albeit to a pair of very good teams in Memphis and Houston. Even without Blake Griffin and his 22.5 PPG average in the lineup, the Clippers are still a team that can do some real damage offensively. They are second in the NBA with 106.9 PPG, and have actually been scoring above that average in the games with Griffin out of the lineup. Where they still continue to struggle is in their own end of the court, as they are giving up over 100 points per game. The two losses that they have just experienced came at the hands of two very good teams who also know how to score. They are going to have to find a way to shore up defensively, as they are going to have a hard time running up the score against a Chicago team that is solid in their own end. The Bulls are probably still in a state of shock after seeing Rose hobble off the court once again. The news is about as bad as everyone has expected, with Rose likely to be out 4-6 weeks. The Bulls lost to the Charlotte Hornets without him, and have a game with the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday before they have to face the Clippers. A win against Minnesota would help them right the ship a little, whereas a loss would be sure to place another little shred of doubt in their minds as they come down the home stretch of the season.
