On Friday night, the San Antonio Spurs head to Memphis for Game 3 of their Western Conference quarterfinal series with the Grizzlies. In the first two games of the series, the Spurs have dealt the Grizzlies the most lopsided loss in franchise history and then held the Grizzlies to their lowest point total in franchise postseaso history, beating them 94-68. Why Should You Bet on San Antonio?

If you think the Spurs are going to let up after winning by 30 and 26 points, respectively, you weren’t in the huddle during a late timeout of Game 2, when coach Gregg Popovich told the Spurs that they needed to show some pride on the floor — in a game that they led by 29 points. As the game wound down, the majority of the Spurs’ starters got to rest. This doesn’t bode well for the Grizzlies, that the Spurs can beat them by so many points without gassing their key contributors.

Why Should You Put Your Money on the Grizzlies?

Given the margin of these two losses, I don’t think I would bet on the Grizzlies at this point. You’ll want to take a look at the line, of course, but a better place to look might be the over/under total. For Game 2, the total was 187.5, but the two teams scored a total of 162 points. As long as that total sits above 180, I would seriously consider taking the under, because I just don’t think that Memphis can score competitively with the Spurs at this point.

Expert Betting Pick and Final Score Prediction

I like the Spurs to take their defensive dominance on the road and demolish Memphis once again. I’m predicting a 96-74 San Antonio victory.
