Pretty much a pick’em game between the Michigan Wolverines out of the Big Ten and the Oregon Ducks. The Michigan Wolverines have been red hot, and won six straight games. After running the table in the Big Ten tournament, they have looked solid in the NCAA Tournament. Look for the Wolverines offense to be too much for a Ducks team that has been battle tested as well. Oregon is one of three solid teams at the top of the Pac-12. In the end, Michigan moves to the Midwest Region Final, and the Elite 8.
Kansas Jayhawks -4.5 over Purdue Boilermakers
There is a reason that the Kansas Jayhawks are one of the biggest favorites to win this tournament. Bill Self and his Jayhawks team are loaded at the guard position. This is a great matchup for the guards of Kansas. While Caleb Swanigan is a big man, and extremely talented, if the Jayhawks can get up and down the floor correctly, they will eliminate the biggest concerns from Swanigan. Look for Kansas to win this game, and cover the spread on Thursday night.
North Carolina Tar Heels -7 over Butler Bulldogs
This has the look of a complete beat down. The North Carolina Tar Heels nearly got beat in the second round by the Arkansas Razorbacks. North Carolina looked and played awful for much of the game. Roy Williams is going to have his Tar Heels team ready to go in this game. Remember, the Tar Heels went to the national title game a season ago. There is nothing about this against Butler, they just are in big trouble here. Take the North Carolina Tar Heels to win this game easily. It’s likely the Tar Heels will win by double digits over Butler.
Baylor Bears -4 over South Carolina Gamecocks.
The South Carolina Gamecocks are quite the story. The Gamecocks are playing in the Sweet 16, when many wondered if this team would even make the NCAA Tournament. Frank Martin has his team ready to play. The Gamecocks scored 65 points in the second half of the game against Duke in Round 2.
Sindarius Thornwell has emerged as one of the top scorers in all of college basketball. In saying that, Scott Drew and his Baylor Bears are going to win this game. The Bears have the ability to get the ball inside to Johnathan Motley, and he has several shooters and slashers around him. The final bet for this game is the Baylor Bears -4 over the South Carolina Gamecocks.
