Even though Kansas State is well down the standings from Iowa State, that is no reason to discount their chances in this game. Kansas State has pulled off multiple upsets in Big 12 play this season and almost did it again against the Texas Longhorns. It took a monster effort from Texas guard Isaiah Taylor to keep Kansas State from pulling off that upset, and he put in 19 points and nailed a three in the last minute of the game. Even so, Dean Wade had an open look at the game-winning shot, but it banged off the front of the rim as the upset bid just fell short. They could use similar energy against an Iowa State that has had its confidence questioned.
