Top NCAAB Betting Picks & Predictins of the Week – November 28th

Tuesday, November 28

Baylor (+4.5) at Xavier (6:30pm ET, FS1)

The undefeated Baylor Bears (5-0) head north to take on a 5-1 Musketeer team that will be their toughest opponent so far. Baylor has already knocked off Wisconsin and Creighton, though, so they haven’t just been playing easy opponents. Manu Lecomte leads Baylor with 19.0 points per game, just ahead of Jo Lual-Acuil (14.0 points and 11.2 boards pre game). Xavier comes in after having their five-game winning streak snapped by Arizona State on Friday. JP Macura led Xavier with 23 points and five boards in the loss, but Trevon Bluiett leads the team for the season with 21.3 points per game. If you like Xavier in this game, then you see them bouncing back from a disappointing second half against Arizona State, a frame in which they were scorched for 58 points. If you like Baylor, then you see them bringing that high-octane offense up to the Queen City and overpowering the Musketeers. NCAAB Betting Prediction: Baylor 78, Xavier 74

Iowa (+8) at Virginia Tech (9:00pm ET, ESPN2)

Iowa (4-2) snapped a two-game skid with a ten-point win over UAB in their last game, with Jordan Bohannon pouring in 30 points on 9-of-12 shooting, draining six shots from downtown. Tyler Cook added 29 points and six boards, while Luka Garza led the way with seven rebounds. Isaiah Moss (the team leader, with 15.8 points per game) added 12 points and four assists in the win. They head east to take on a Virginia Tech team that is riding a three-game winning streak after routing Morehead State, 96-63. Nickeil Alexander-Walker led the way with 18 points, going 7 for 9 and nailing three shots from downtown. Kerry Blackshear Jr led the team with nine rebounds and swatted a couple of shots. Ahmed Hill had 12 points and lead the Hokies with 19.8 points per game. If you like Virginia Tech, then you realize that Iowa lost to San Diego State and Louisiana-Lafayette before knocking off UAB (and allowing 85 points in the loss). Virginia Tech should have the offense to overcome the Hawkeyes. NCAAB Betting Prediction: Virginia Tech 80, Iowa 72

Louisville (+7) at Purdue (8:00pm ET, ESPN)

The Cardinals will play away from Louisville for the first time as they visit the Purdue Boilermakers. Louisville sits at 4-0 and average 81.8 points per game, permitting just 63.2 points per contest, but this is also the first serious competition that they have enjoyed on the young season. Deng Adel leads Louisville in scoring with 17.5 points per game, and Ray Spalding leads the team with 9.3 boards per game. They face a Purdue team that averages an impressive 91.2 points per game but have split their last four contests. Casen Edwards leads the Boilermakers with 18 points per game, grabbing 4.4 boards per contest, and Dakota Mathias is right behind him with 16.1 points per game. Purdue lost to Tennessee and Western Kentucky down in the Bahamas — games in which the Boilermakers were solid favorites. The Cardinals bring in a tenacious defense, and even though they have not played any solid teams yet, they present a big danger to Purdue. It is true that the Boilermakers have won ten in a row at home, and it is also true that Purdue has covered the spread in 11 of their last 14 non-conference games, but they seem to have too many issues to cover this size of a spread against Louisville, let alone win. NCAAB Betting Prediction: Louisville 77, Purdue 74
