#9 Memphis vs Virginia Tech
Wednesday, November 24 | 9:30 pm ET, ESPN2
Barclays Center, Brooklyn
Memphis meets Virginia Tech in Gotham after having beaten Western Kentucky, 74-62, on Friday. The Tigers’ offense relies heavily on Emoni Bates, who is shooting 41.7 percent from behind the arc, including a 6 for 17 mark over his last three contests. Memphis uses a lot of ball distribution, often taking the extra pass to get the better shot, as demonstrated by their assist tally. In their last three games, they have 43 assists on 85 buckets (50.6 percent). They average 78.2 possessions per game, tenth most in Division I. They play a faster pace than Virginia Tech, as they average 65.1 possessions per game, ranking 306th.
Virginia Tech relies heavily on Storm Murphy, Keve Aluma and Justyn Mutts, who have scored 44 percent of the Hokies’ points so far this season. Mutts shoots 40 percent from behind the arc. Memphis has more talent, more speed and better shooters, so they should be able to skate toa win.
Final Score Prediction: Memphis 84, Virginia Tech 7 : Bet the Game Today
