Want to increase the excitement in your sports betting when it comes to college football? Parlay picks allow you to increase your winnings significantly — so long as you are right in both of the bets that you make. This can make things get really interesting when you’re coming down to the wire in your second game — or when both games are set to end at just about the same time. We’ve put together a couple of suggestions for your wagering when it comes to pairing your action together for NCAA Football Week 2.

Western Michigan and Michigan to go OVER 57 points combined

Western Michigan saw their opener with Syracuse feature a combined 97 points, as they put up 42, only to see the Orange score 55. Michigan had a harder time finding the end zone against Notre Dame, as they only scored 17 points in a losing effort. However, transfer quarterback Shea Patterson didn’t come to Michigan to struggle, and let’s just say that the Broncos’ defense clearly isn’t as stout as that of the Fighting Irish. So while I wouldn’t say that Western Michigan has a shot at an upset, this game definitely has the potential to turn either into a barnburner or a big-time Michigan rout. Either way, the point total should go by the wayside.

Mississippi State (-9) over Kansas State

Mississippi State visits Kansas State after taking Stephen F. Austin to the woodshed in Week 1 by a 63-6 score. Kansas State also hosted an FCS opponent but almost suffered an embarrassing loss to South Dakota, eking out a 27-24 win. Kansas State has a hard time throwing the ball, which means we can expect the Bulldogs to load the box and force a lot of three-and-outs. Mississippi State put up all those points without starting quarterback Nick Fitzgerald, who was sitting out due to a suspension. Keytaon Thompson started in his place and had a huge day, accounting for seven touchdowns, five with his arm and two with his feet, and picking up 473 yards combined with passing and rushing. This game could get ugly for the Wildcats — which is why I like Mississippi State to cover here. Both of these games are set for noon Eastern time, so you could have money in the bank long before the shadows start to lengthen in the afternoon.

Georgia and South Carolina to stay UNDER 56.5 points combined

Georgia and South Carolina tend to play closely fought games thanks to the grinding defensive style that both teams bring — and the emphasis that both offenses put on the running game. Last year, the final score between these two teams was 24-10 at Georgia, which is 22 ½ points below this total. The game moves to South Carolina this year, and I don’t see why the point total would creep higher. The Gamecocks have a better defense than they had last year, and even though Georgia’s Jake Fromm has another year of experience under his belt, I have a hard time seeing this game getting close to that point total.

Arizona (+4) over Houston

Houston delivered a 45-27 beating of Rice in their season opener, and they have won 10 of their last 12 games at home. Quarterback D’Eriq King had an impressive performance, throwing for 320 yards and three scores without any interceptions. The Cougars rumbled for 257 yards on the ground as well. However, the fact that Houston permitted Rice to score 27 points does not say a lot about their defense, and Arizona has a lot more weapons than the Owls do. Arizona did lose their opener, falling 28-23 to BYU, and they have lost three straight now. The Wildcats’ offense had a hard time moving the ball against BYU, but Houston’s defense does not rate as highly. Quarterback Khalil Tate should have more room to operate, both with his feet as well as with finding wide receivers down the field, and Arizona should get into the win column, but if they don’t, they will at least cover.
