The 2021-2022 college basketball season is starting to heat up, with the cupcake games that mark the first early weeks having come and gone, and then those Thanksgiving tournaments already in the books. Some conferences, such as the Big Ten, already have conference play underway, while other leagues are still waiting to start. If you want to make your sports betting on college hoops more exciting, take a look at a couple of parlay options for games happening this week, with teams from the Big Ten, the Big 12 and the SEC showing up. As teams start to round into form heading into league play, we can expect to see home court play an important role that affects the college basketball odds, and the teams that have spent non-conference time playing just easy teams will suffer in the early going, while those who have played more solid competition will have that experience helping them now.

Texas Tech Red Raiders vs #13 Tennessee Volunteers (in New York) (7:00 pm ET, ESPN)
#24 Michigan Wolverines at Nebraska Cornhuskers (7:00 pm ET, ESPN2)
Tuesday, December 7
Texas Tech takes on Tennessee in their first star-studded game of the year. The Red Raiders had run out to a 6-0 start to the season, but then they lost on Wednesday at Providence in the Big East-Big 12 Battle. Kevin Obanor nailed a three-ball for Texas Tech to tie the game at 65 with 2:10 left in regulation, and then Terrence Shannon Jr hit another three-pointer to bring the Red Raiders within one, but then Providence closed things out from the free-throw line. Shannon led the Red Raiders with 17 points; Texas Tech actually started the game on a 25-13 run but saw that lead dwindle to two at halftime.
Tennessee is also 6-1 but saw their lone loss come at the hands of then-#5 Villanova. Since that setback, the Volunteers have won three in a row, including a 69-54 win at Colorado on SAturday. This was Tennessee’s first true road game in non-conference play since January 25, 2020; they fell behind 8-0 early but then came back quickly. Kennedy Chandler had a season high 28 points, including eight points in the last two minutes of the first half, helping turn a 26-22 lead into a ten-point lead at the intermission. Tennessee has handled tougher competition this season so far than Texas Tech has.
Michigan comes in at 5-3; they bounced back from a 72-51 trouncing at the hands of North Carolina in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge by beating San Diego State, 72-58, on Saturday. Unter Dickinson put up 23 points, going three for three from downtown, and he also pulled down 14 boards. He only had four points in the loss to North Carolina. Caleb Houstan put up a season best 17 points, and Eli Brooks had ten. The Wolverines opened the second half with a 17-2 run to salt away the game.
Nebraska comes in on a two-game skid, having lost at North Carolina State in four overtimes, 104-100, and then at Indiana in their Big Ten opener, 68-55. Alonzo Verge Jr led the Cornhuskers with 15 points and five boards, but Bryce McGowens only went 3 of 14 from the floor for eight points, his first game without double figures in his last five. Nebraska jumped out to an early ten-point advantage, as Indiana started the game 3 of 15 with seven turnovers, but they could not keep up with the Hoosiers once they figured out their ball security. This should be a close one, but Michigan should take care of business.
