College Football Betting Locks You Can’t Miss in 2015

There are a ton of things that can happen to a football team during the course of the regular college football betting season, which means that teams who look like mortal locks coming into the season end up down the rankings and playing for some secondary bowl. If we cast all that aside and just assume that everything goes as expected, there are some teams that look as though they are primed to be in the playoffs once the regular season ends. You simply cannot look beyond the reigning champions Ohio State. They are pretty much everyone’s favorite to get right back into the top 4 again, but that does come with a little word of caution. Ohio State play in a Big 10 Conference that is not exactly loaded with a ton of great talent. That will mean that they have a schedule that is a whole lot easier than most. A single slip or perceived level of play that is less than expected could see the playoff committee decide to leave them on the outside looking in. Michigan and Virginia Tech are the toughest opponents on their schedule this season, and if they can get past those two, they should go undefeated.
Auburn were a pretty solid team last year, but with the moves they made in the offseason, they look set to take another big step forward. They should be particularly good on the defensive side of the ball, as former Florida Gator head coach Will Muschamp will be displaying his special brand of angry on the sidelines in Auburn as the defensive coordinator. Being part of the SEC West means that the Tigers can afford to lose a game along the way, which is something that most conferences simply cannot lay claim to. One of the biggest stories of the inaugural college football playoff was the omission of Texas Christian University from the final 4. This is a team with a huge chip on their shoulder, not to mention a host of returning players who will only improve with another season under their belts. Trevone Boykin will once again be taking the snaps for TCU, and you can bet that he will be looking to get the offense a little better than their 4th overall last year. trevone-boykin-qb-tcu Those are the three that jump of the paper as locks for the coming season, but there are some others out there who might also make an impact. You can never count out Alabama under Coach Nick Saban, and there is a lot of talk that the Georgia Bulldogs might be in the picture, assuming they can settle on a QB who can complement their ridiculously good running game.
