This is Louisville’s first berth in the ACC title game, and Brohm still has his starting quarterback, Jack Plummer, on the field. Plummer was also with Brohm at Purdue, and he put up solid numbers against Kentucky, throwing for 242 yards and a pair of touchdowns. However, a late interception by Kentucky in the end zone dashed the Cardinals’ hopes of a comeback win.
Plummer has a 21:11 TD:INT ratio for the season and just under 3,000 passing yards. The Seminoles’ defense has been stingy, leading the conference by permitting just 16.8 yards per game in ACC action. Plummer has thrown interceptions in three straight games. The Seminoles’ biggest playmaker on offense has been wide receiver Keon Coleman, but he had just one catch for 24 yards against Florida last week. Coleman leads the team with 11 receiving touchdowns, and Rodemaker needs to find a way to get him the ball for Florida State to get enough points to win. Johnny Wilson had 149 receiving yards and two scores against Louisville last year, and even though he has fought through injuries this season, he will be an important weapon as well.
