NCAAF Odds: Over/Under Picks for Week 6

NCAAF Odds: Over/Under Picks for Week 6

In our article earlier this week on the top sports betting picks for Week 6 on the college gridiron, we suggested that you take the over in the Red River Rivalry as #3 Texas takes on #12 Oklahoma with the State Fair of Texas as a backdrop. The point total is 58.5, but both sides have explosive offenses, so this could turn into a track meet, even with Oklahoma’s improved defense this season, because rivalry games can be notoriously frenetic. Don’t miss the College Football Odds and O/U Picks for this weekend games!

College Football Odds and O/U Picks for Week 6: Let’s break down a few other primo point total picks from this weekend’s games.

Week 6 NCAAF O/U Picks and Lines
Maryland Terrapins +18.5 vs #4 Ohio State Buckeyes O/U 57
#13 Washington State Cougars +3.5 vs UCLA Bruins O/U 60.5
Syracuse Orange +8.5 vs #14 North Carolina Tar Heels O/U 59.5
#2 Michigan Wolverines -19.5 vs Minnesota Golden Gophers O/U 46
Arkansas Razorbacks +11.5 vs #16 Ole Miss Rebels O/U 62.5

Maryland Terrapins at #4 Ohio State Buckeyes

When: Saturday, October 7, 2023, 12:00 pm ET
Where: Ohio Stadium, Columbus, OH
TV/Live Stream: FOX

The 5-0 Terrapins are off to their best start in 22 years, and this is their best roster since they joined the Big Ten. However, Ohio Stadium has been a house of horrors for Maryland, as they have lost four contests there, with an average margin of defeat of 46.8 points. This isn’t the same Terrapin squad, though, and Taulia Tagovailoa has an opportunity to make a statement against a Buckeye D that has permitted only 8.5 points per game so far. Maryland has forced forced three turnovers per contest against FBS opposition this year. Can they pry the ball away from the Buckeyes? Expect the defenses to weigh in here, and take the under.

#13 Washington State Cougars at UCLA Bruins

When: Saturday, October 7, 2023, 3:00 pm ET
Where: Rose Bowl, Pasadena, CA
TV/Live Stream: Pac-12 Network

Washington State is not only ranked but also has won two games straight up as the underdog. Both teams come in off their bye week, setting up an intriguing quarterback battle between Dante Moore and Cam Ward. Because they’re in different Pac-12 divisions, the teams have not met since 2019, when UCLA rolled in a 67-63 barnburner. Each of the last five meetings has been decided by one score. Expect this game to come down to the final possession, and expect the confident Cougars to roll. Take the over.

Syracuse Orange at #14 North Carolina Tar Heels

When: Saturday, October 7, 2023, 3:00 pm ET
Where: Kenan Stadium, Chapel Hill, NC
TV/Live Stream: ABC/ESPN

Syracuse fell to Clemson, 31-14, in Week 5, thanks to three turnovers. The Tar Heels welcome the Orange after having their bye week to get ready for Garrett Shrader. You can be sure that they watched Clemson contain Shrader as a threat to run the ball, and his pocket passing was less than enough. North Carolina’s offense is more dynamic than Syracuse’s, but with the Orange struggling to find footing on offense, take the under.

#2 Michigan Wolverines at Minnesota Golden Gophers

When: Saturday, October 7, 2023, 7:30 pm ET
Where: Huntington Bank Stadium, Minneapolis, MN
TV/Live Stream: Peacock

Michigan has a smothering defense, leading all FBS schools with just 5.8 points permitted per game. They have allowed no more than seven points in any game this season. Minnesota is 3-0 straight up at home, but they have permitted 92 points over their last three games. Michigan has a three-game winning streak against the Golden Gophers, including a 49-24 rout in 2020. The Golden Gophers have permitted 400 or more passing yards in two games already this season, so you know that J.J. McCarthy is licking his chops. The Wolverines might beat this point total by themselves. Take the over.

Arkansas Razorbacks at #16 Ole Miss Rebels

When: Saturday, October 7, 2023, 7:30 pm ET
Where: Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, Oxford, MS
TV/Live Stream: SEC Network

Ole Miss just won a 55-48 game over LSU after a draining loss to Alabama the week before, so the possibility of fatigue against the Razorbacks is real. Arkansas has a three-game skid going and will have a chip on its shoulder. Ole Miss has covered the spread in all three games they were favored to win this season, but I see a duel between K.J. Jefferson and Jaxson Dart turning out closer than this. Both teams score in bunches, so take the over.
