2019 NFL Preseason Predictions for Every Team

Written by on August 5, 2019

We are just over a month from the first regular-season game in the 2019 National Football League’s schedule, a prime-time affair between the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears. Each of the 32 franchises in the NFL has goals for the season, whether it is the New England Patriots plotting a path for yet another Super Bowl championship or the Arizona Cardinals looking for as many positive signs as possible with a new head coach, in Kliff Kingsbury, and a new quarterback in Kyler Murray. We have one NFL preseason betting prediction for each franchise.

2019 NFL Preseason Predictions for Every Team

Arizona Cardinals — will get a quality year out of future Hall of Famer Larry Fitzgerald. Last year he was limited to 734 receiving yards. He will get more than that with Kyler Murray throwing the ball. But will the Cards win a game? Atlanta Falcons — will get Matt Ryan over 5,000 passing yards for the first time. His targets include Julio Jones, Mohamed Sanu and second-year wideout Calvin Ridley — and Devonta Freeman out of the backfield. Baltimore Ravens — will get offensive balance from Lamar Jackson and Mark Ingram, who will rush for more than 1,000 yards. Buffalo Bills — will see new wideout Cole Beasley break his career best of 75 receptions. Carolina Panthers — will get at least 30 touchdown passes from Cam Newton. Chicago Bears — will regress as Kirk Cousins figures out the Minnesota offense and Aaron Rodgers gets redemption. Cincinnati Bengals  — will see Joe Mixon catch more than 50 passes and score at least 10 touchdowns. Cleveland Browns — will get at least 1,000 receiving yards from Jarvis Landry, who will be more open now that Odell Beckham Jr will be lining up on the other side of the offense. Dallas Cowboys — will struggle to win more than eight or nine games thanks to a new offensive coordinator and the holdout of Ezekiel Elliott. Denver Broncos — will get more than 30 sacks from the tandem of Bradley Chubb and Von Miller. Detroit Lions — will get at least 1,000 rushing yards from Kerryon Johnson. Green Bay Packers — will get at least 40 touchdown passes from Aaron Rodgers. Houston Texans — will get a career high in touchdown receptions from DeAndrew Hopkins. Currently, his career mark is 13. Indianapolis Colts — will win the AFC South and get at least 1,000 yards from Marlon Lack out of the backfield. Jacksonville Jaguars — will snag an AFC wild card and get at least 4,000 passing yards from Nick Foles. Kansas City Chiefs — will get a huge season out of tight end Travis Kelce, who will break his career mark of ten touchdown passes in a season. Los Angeles Chargers — will snag an AFC wild card and get at least 1,000 receiving yards out of Mike Williams. Los Angeles Rams — will hit a major Super Bowl hangover and struggle to win the NFC West. Miami Dolphins — will get huge numbers out of Josh Rosen. But will it matter with their defense? Minnesota Vikings — will win the NFC North as Kirk Cousins gets his feet under him and throws for at least 35 touchdowns. New England Patriots — will see Sony Michel lead the NFL in rushing. New Orleans Saints — will win the NFC south and get at least 1,000 rushing yards out of Alvin Kamara. New York Giants — will finish last in the NFC East, and Daniel Jones will be starting at quarterback by December. New York Jets — will split with New England and get at least 2,000 all-purpose yards from Le’Veon Bell. Oakland Raiders — will finally get a great season out of Derek Carr, who will throw more than 25 touchdown passes. Philadelphia Eagles — will get at least 1,000 rushing yards from Jordan Howard. Pittsburgh Steelers — will get at least 15 touchdown receptions from JuJu Smith-Schuster. San Francisco 49ers — will win at least nine games this season, no matter whether Jimmy Garoppolo or Nick Mullens starts at quarterback. Seattle Seahawks — will have a hard time in the NFC West with the loss of Frank Clark off their defensive line. Tampa Bay Buccaneers — will make 2019 the do-or-die year for Jameis Winston. Tennessee Titans — will get at least 1,200 rushing yards from Derrick Henry. Washington Redskins — will get at least 10 sacks from Jonathan Allen. But who will play quarterback?
